if the eurusd is moved about 150 pips per day, we are able to use current price interval to mitigate the huge trend to blow up our accounts.

hi all

any1 else other than radityo using XM?

the behaviour is still strange...no trade so far except for the 1st two days of testing.

mostly journal said trade deleted.
yesterday saw journal said reconnect server for better connection; trade disabled; trade deleted...

am i suppose to trade minimum 1 lot (0.01 x 100) as i am testing EURUSDmicro?

i test 0.1 lot, 0.05lot, 0.01 lot all no trade.
0.01 lot works only for first 2 days.

strange... thank god i did not use them with real money

I'm using XM, two demo accounts, no problem so far.
A good strategy for trading is... the opposite of having a bad strategy.

i am just wondering how would it be if we put both stop and limits on the same pair, but with proper mm such as revised stop etc. would it work better? anyone tried this yet?

Just quick info, unfortunately I had to close manually this GTLIMITEURUSD2 with loss.
I have another account which has the same configuration such as GTLIMITEURUSD2, but it was just closed an hour ago.
I feel that every red news, we should be more careful about it.

I'll post later when I'm back from work.
If you ask me to code/fix your EA... it's probably not for free...

Hi Radityo,
I have strange trades going on currently at this moment when I am posting the message despite my settings are GMT 18.00-22.00 in EA panel and VPS setting is New York time as VPS is in New York as attached.
Can you please advise me where I have done something wrong due to that trades going on despite proper settings.

That is your problem. Try to use other timezone that doesn't use Daylight Saving time.
If you ask me to code/fix your EA... it's probably not for free...

I think it's always better to close the open trades at least 1 or 2 hours before London opening.

if I may ask, why did you close your open orders bro ?
I saw that you only had 5 open orders.
Is it because its almost open market hour for London session ?

Btw, what was your maximum open orders in 1 cycle?

I have strange situation, I use the same time setting with Radityo and on Friday morning (SGT) last week and this morning the EA keep on open trades after 6 am. I had to close manually all open trades this morning.


I think this is because i open my VPS in Indonesia these 2 tading days, while usually I opened it in Australia. Does this really matter guys?

It should not matter as VPS time and date setting will remain same unless you change it.

just out of curiosity, why between your 2 account (same configuration) have different behavior?
mine also use your original set files, closed when it reached around today's low. gained 10 pips.
but it is on different broker from yours and use 2 fixed pips spread.

But that's a good call man...if not then yours will be still on minus floating till now around -60pips from your farther positions, plus another 4 positions.
and we dont know when it will retrace or not....

To those who wonders, this is what happened.
This tentative red news was bugging me, as it was never been a good signal for me. No clue when it will start, so I decided to monitor it and for "testing" it, I kept it running. My decision was, if later the time decided, I will stop the EA, and announce it.
Until Tuesday 00:00, still tentative, checked again 00:30am, still tentative. Then I wonder if this is Tuesday morning or Tuesday night? Screw me if the news is Tuesday morning.
01:00am I slept, morning saw the calendar, it was at 01:35am. Starting from that time when the news came out, it was trending until afternoon. 2pm-3pm retraced a little bit but still in minus. Thought will wait for sometime, then suddenly strong trending kicks in.
Now, here's the twist...
one of my live account was already closed in profit while the others floating in minus. I still can't figure out why these 2 live accounts have different behaviour despite of the same account type and same EA with the same parameter running.
One of the culprit (I suspect) is the network connection. Recently I noticed that my VPS connecting to RoboForex, got a glitch. It maybe due to the server is overloaded, one is disconnected while the other is running, vice versa. It is very hard for me to detect this kind of strange behavior.

But whatever it is, lesson learned. When tentative red news coming, should've stopped it before it came.
It was a close call, I got loss -4.8%, which is fine. Overall still got 9% profit this month. I hope it can be better next month. We'll see how much I'll get for this month end of this week.

here is what happened on my side.
I remember the 2 modifies that I did to GTLIMITEURUSD2 (v1.7):
- start hour 18:00 GMT (instead of original 17:00 GMT)
- Profit Multiplier 0.01 (1% instead of original 1,5%)

Correct me if I wrong something.
-Starting 1 hour later I got later in the trend and so the EA had 2 cycles (both closed with the logic "Right in Start Point"), first around 20:10 GMT and second one around 00:30 GMT. For the first one I cut the risk by 2, Target and Lot multiplier divided by 2, than for second I re-set the standard risk (of GTLIMITEURUSD2) because the news was already released and I felt confortable with the situation.
-Starting at standard 17:00 GMT you had tu run all over the trend and (spying your trade explorer) got 5 Sell Limits triggered, finally had to close the cycle manually (in my opinion in the right moment, the price never went down there later). I don't know if with Profit Multiplier set to 0.01 (I think you still use the standard 0.015) it would have closed the cycle on the retracement some hours before you had to do it manually...

I do have a Mini Account with XM ... your problems sound to me as you set the "AutoTrading" buttom off or some wrong settings in "Tools",Options,Expert Advisor. Other possibility is your Internet speed and the XM server location. If you find no problem in your environment settings so better ask the XM-Helpdesk, I asked them many, many times and always got the right answer.

Your set are using Equity instead Balance in the lot calculation ?!
For the bonus on XM this is required..
