Hi Rad, I'm trying to link Gridstep with ADR indi. Could you pls. kindly help to fix this error? {image} EA can still working but i dont like warnings!
Ignored
It's not an error. It's a conversion warning. EA will still work, as long as both are on the same base type.

If you want to fix it, see this:
your AV2 is double.
0.786 is also double.
NormalizeDouble will return double.
So, I'm suspecting GridStepPoints is not double. You have to change it to double to get rid of that.
If you ask me to code/fix your EA... it's probably not for free...

GridStepPoints is INT, if I change it to double there will be more warnings.

Can I change NormalizeDouble to INT?

GridStepPoints = (int)NormalizeDouble(AV2*0.786, 0);

Are you modifying using gridtraps source code?
I hope you have read the license term. What your are doing still OK, to modify or combine with other code, as long as you keep "RdzGridTraps" name, and don't sell it to anyone.

Hi Radityo, I have notice that in the expert tab the following message for some tickets

"unknown ticket _____ for Order Close function".

The tickets are closed, so it's not a real problem, just an alert that seems not true.

1 profitable cycle last night...on eurlimit....buys at 1.0741.....1.0731......1.0721...... Everything closed on retrace at 1.0738. Pretty good.

Would be good to stop it after 1 profitable cycle. As it now opens more orders and is going to trade into the Asian session. Maybe need to manually stop it.

Shouldn't be a problem. I think it is due to the order seems closed too fast.
Close was triggered at OnTick method, I think OnTick is threaded. So Close method at some point of time due to rapid tick received, it might be called multiple. I'm not really sure since I don't know the execution model of OnTick (when new quote comes in).

But as of now, you should not worry anymore about that. I guarantee all the orders are now closed. If no order closed, it will keep trying to close until all closed, then start a new one.

Good morning guys!

I have created an excel file to simulate RdzGridTraps (Microsoft Excel 2010/13 format). I'm not sure whether this will help you, but for me it may help under some circumstances. Simulation can only be done for LIMIT orders and STOP orders only.
You can download on https://rdzgridtraps.codeplex.com/releases.

What the excel file will do, it will simulate on how the profit calculation, margin left, what is the possibility if you change some key parameters in the EA.

You can put Deposit amount, account type [Standard/Micro/Cents], Leverage, spreads, Initial Bid price (when cycle was started), then current Bid price, Lot size, Placing Order Type [LIMIT/STOP], how many Buy Orders executed, how many Sell Orders executed, Current price interval, and grid step.

Hope it helps (for you who would like to get a rough tests).
If you ask me to code/fix your EA... it's probably not for free...

I'm sure this excel file will help. Why all of my trades now using LIMIT, instead of the initial plan which was STOP.

Now, let us play with numbers.
I got $3000, 0.5 lot size, leverage 1:1000, Spreads 18, Order Type STOP, Grid Step 100 and Current Price Interval 50.
The price Bid was started at 1.07377, and the current price is 1.07545 and at this price I got 1 BUY order executed (the inner order). That means near-miss with the 2nd pending order BUY stop. Let us assume the second order is just not executed yet. I got $50 profit, which is good.
Attached Image

Let us assume again, the price moves down until 1st SELL STOP order executed, then moves up to 1.07545. At this point, you will see that I got loss -$68.00 in my account.
So, to simulate this, I just change the Sell Orders from 0 to 1.
Attached Image (click to enlarge)

Name: Screenshot2.png
Size: 77 KB

Now, I want to know how big is the price movement required without executing any pending SELL STOP again until reaches the same profit amount.
Attached Image (click to enlarge)

First scenario to get $50, from 1.07545 to 1.07377 it is 168 points (16.8 pips).
Second scenario to get $50, from 1.07713 to 1.07377 it is 336 points (33.6 pips).
So, if 1 more sell is executed, I need to reach / jump for about 168 points (16.8 pips).

Now, another one, if the price moves down then up again, how much it will require to get $50?
Attached Image (click to enlarge)

Name: Screenshot4.png
Size: 83 KB

From first scenario without any sell order executed, it requires 168 points to get $50.
Second scenario with 1 sell orders executed, it requires 336 points.
Third one with 2 sell orders executed, from 1.07936 to 1.07377, it is 559 points (55.9 pips).
So, if 1 more sell is executed, I need to reach profit $50 for about 223 points compared to if only 1 sell orders executed.

So, the conclusion is, the more the opposite order is executed / opened, the interval to get $50 is much more far and harder to reach.

I'll describe later for LIMIT orders. Please continue on: http://www.forexfactory.com/showthre...73#post8601973

Last day of the trading week I had the first cycle closed @ 0.5% target, then the second cycle was deleted @ session closing.

Not bad for me!
