I'm going to Stop Next Cycle for the next session, 3am is FOMC Meeting Minutes.
Better play safe.

Anyway, I kept GTLIMIT REBOOT running, we'll see what happen.
If you ask me to code/fix your EA... it's probably not for free...

{quote} Remember that spread betting is tax free in UK, so for this reason I am demoing on Intertrader as they will offer spread betting on MT4. Not sure of many other reputable brokers that do but will be happy to know if anyone has other suggestions?

FXPRO sent me an email regarding the EA:
"...you are continuously requesting to open or close orders at previous or wrong prices... As result the system creates a lot of requotes and overload on our servers. The use of EA is not prohibited, we would advise that you check the settings of your EA."

Radityo, is that why using RoboForex? I am planning to have an account on it, fix spread seems to be good.

No, that's not the only reason. Many reasons why I choose this.

Hey,

I let the new version of limit orders with new set file run on vps since start of week. Just wanted to let you know :

Buy limits triggered from 1.702 all the way down. Was a bit worried but it came back to take profit.

Left it running through the news....it opened one buy limit order and now the sell limits are opening.

I can manually close the buy order that is now in profit since about 1.0627.

So not bad performance so far.

Thanks for sharing.

Hi,
which set are you using? If you refer to eurusdlimit2, it should be used during range trading and shouldn't be used during news. please read post 1.

I didnt trade at FCOM because the news indi say" dont trade on FCOM".

It turned out that FCOM is just like smaller NFD, same trick but smaller TP.

one min after the news released, the direction was quite clear "buy all none-usd, sell all usd pairs"

use scripts to close all orders in wrong direction, leave the rest to hit tp.

I think the key point to trade NF FCOM or similar news is " there is only one winner (direction) after the fight (news)"

Pairs like UJ and UCHF refused to drop, but it wont hold too long...

Thank you a lot sir! I'll take your advice...

I have to demos running, both stop, one with wider threshold, the one with wider threshold, keep losing money, the other one, is doing ok.

I'll keep watching my demos two more months (I hope).
A good strategy for trading is... the opposite of having a bad strategy.

Hi Rad,

If we have 3 buy orders and 3 sell stop orders and i closed all buy positions, what will the EA do for the next?

1 Do nothing (that will be prefect)
2 Start new buy cycle
3 Close all

There is only one NF and FCOM per month, i think you have to watch demo 2 years to test it.

Yes the limit 2 is the one I am using. Didnt want to turn it off...I am going to let it run through everything and see what happens.

You know, the news has a couple of outcomes. Having studied non farm and the likes quite a bit before :

1. You get a clean spike with minimal movement in the other direction...the spike continues X amount of points before it eventually retraces

2. You get a whip like action...like the fomc yesterday....price goes in 2 directions rapidly before settling down to trend in the given direction.

in the first scenario...you would get limit orders triggered in one direction only...then hope to profit on the retrace...bit risky with big news as it can move 100 - 150 points. 15 orders open or something like that.

In the second scenario....you get buys and sells opened....one profits after it settles down and the others resume normal grid with limit order going into negative till it retraces.

Yesterday was not bad as the buy order was in good profit and the sells are negative till it retraces.

NFP will be one to avoid...too big.

Good observation.
I never want to trade during news actually. But if you do want to watch the chart, this kind of mechanism you've mentioned is also worth to try.
It's not my thing actually to watch the chart (3 am in the morning dude... ).

I never check that logic, but I suppose EA never check how many orders've been missing. So, I guess EA will do nothing and continue. If your all of your BUY order is closed, and you still have any other pending orders left, EA will do nothing.

Actually not really doing nothing. Just imagine you have 3 buy orders and 3 sell stop orders. You close all buy orders, while you still have 3 sell stop orders. EA will do nothing. When these 3 sell stop orders are executed (either one or all), EA will continue checking whether your profit is reaching the target. If reaches, it will close automatically.

Me too, 3 am in the monrning...

Maybe in the future, we can make it all automatically.

Logically speaking, it is possible for EA to find out the diretion on M1 Chart.

It's not just identify bullish or bearish candle, it's about the strengh, EX. move down 30pips then move up 25pips and closed, this UP but it's a bearlish candle.
