there is very little difference in the 10EMA Close and 5EMA Typical, Shift+3.
I prefer 10EMA because I look at that in different timeframes with 10, 50, 200EMAs.
For me what is more important is to read the price bars and those PA patterns using either price bars or the Japanese candlesticks.

Knowing you took it also, gives me ease of mind.
I am greedier, so my TP is set near 0.7200, which is last week high. I do not really expect it to go there, but I intend to trail it and get as many pips as I can towards that direction.

NZDUSD 1H Long

LO was bullish close. LO+1 tested yesterday high but closed higher. When LO+1 Closed the TDI crossed and I entered on break of LO+1 high. Away from DOL / EMA's. It had lots of momentum in it and moved to TP1 quick. Lets see if it can continue

0.7200 is possible if the D1 chart setup candle is confirm when today close.

Hi,

I jumped in this trade also. I diden't really like it much and closed manually for small loss a bit after. In hindsight:

Into DOL/EMA200.
There is a more important trendline a bit lower. I can see where you drew this one tho.
Historical Resistance seems to be 1.11

We'll see how it turns out

I tried switching to D1 to look for reasons. The APB crossed, yes, but TDI does not have a proper angle for shorts. So I am kind of confused and curious about why you chose the short side.

Hi!
I do not use DOL and other EMAs besides 5. But I probably should. The reason I do not use them is because I might hold back on some trades, because too many times when I want to take a trade, in the way is either a RN, or a MA, or S/R, so I pass on too many trades.

Yes I fully understand what you are saying. Especially these RN's on volatile EUR/ GBP/ crosses are very difficult. This is probably why new ppl like us shouldn't trade them . But it's probably good to be selective on trades bc of overtrading.

It is however a bit of a contradiction when you say that you want to take a trade but things are in the way... Do we really want to take this trade then if there is things in the way? But I have the same issues tbh !

Emmanuel, another possible answer to your intra-candle entry. Is this valid?

Took short EURJPY after some consolidation. There was 4H IB and I took breakout of MC low. Following short bias on 4H and away from DOL / EMA's.

yes, that is H1 Inside bar setup and you can trade the breakout of the Mother Bar of that Inside Bar. In this case, we trade the continuation.

inside Bar is seen as market consolidation or price contraction.

there is only A+++ setup.
there is no A, A+ and A++. We don't need so many different classifications.

Keep it simple, it is either a A+++ setup or nothing. It is a high probability setup using Price Action at Support and Resistance with the TDI as confirmation.

We need to zoom out on our chart and see the bigger picture of the market.
there was a rally and market fails to make higher high, some see chart patterns and there was what looks like a head and shoulders.
there was a trendline break yesterday and market was bearish close yesterday. After London session close , the later half of the NY session was quiet as usual.
There was a consolidation H4 Double Inside Bars can be seen on on H1 using the H4 High-low.
My intraday entry was based on Sydney 3H narrow range and when Tokyo open, there was the breakout.

Then I probably didn't express my self correctly. I meant to say that if I cluster my chart with lots of EMAs, DOL, S/R/, D1/W1/M1 highs and lows, RN, I will never trade, because there will almost always be one of those things in the way. That's what meant. But if I keep it as clean as possible, I can take trades.
I had this issue on another thread, so when I spotted a place to enter, there was an EMA in the way, like 800. When it passed it, crap, there was a RN in the way. When it passed that, crap again, there was last week's low in the way... And so on. So that is why I am trying to remove some elements from the chart. I keep only the D1/W1/M1 highs and lows and watch for S/R zones.

I guess M15 should be traded upon the breakout.
P.S.: I closed the trade for a very small profit, for two reasons:
1. The pair looks indecisive. It should have gone up with nice APB candles by now.
2. Going against Big Emm is like going against the trend. LOL!

USDJPY H1 trade.

Bearish Engulfing Bar as the setup with TDI and Stoch confirming the momentum.

Now at BE+ and wait for the next hour US PMI data release.

Went long on EA, H1. H4 shows signs of exhaustion. But I am concerned about D1.
