Hello all.
Radityo - thank you for creating and sharing your EA, and to all forum members, thank you for your testing and your insights. That's a lot of pages I had to read
I'm quite new to RdzGridTraps. I've still yet to work out the best way to set it up and configure - more on that in a moment.
1) For now could anyone help explain why I'm seeing 2 very different sets of trades across a Live and Demo account, despite (a) both MT4 terminals are running on the same VPS, (b) both are using identical sets (with exception to lot size, but that's over-ridden/dynamic anyway) and to a lesser extent (from what I can gather from this forum) (c) both exhibit similar low latency, and (d) both are using same v1.6 ea (I've not yet worked out if v1.7 is better and why).
Here's a screenshot from a RDP session to my VPS taken from my 2x monitors (attached). My sets have been attached here too.
Any insight would be grateful. I have stopped and restarted the Live terminal to ensure the EA kicked in properly. In short I was hoping that my live account would 'behave' exactly the same as my demo account given everything is (for all intents and purposes) identical (broker, vps, sets, latency).
2) I'm kind of getting the impression that for optimum performance (steady account increase) Grid should be set up on multiple charts whereby (simplistically) chart #1 uses STOP for London Open thru to NY close (the 'high volatility' window), and chart #2 does hours outside this range and is set up for LIMITS (basically because the market is somewhat quiet and moves sideways in a particular price band). Chart #1 and #2 are both EURUSD (with setup replication on charts #3 and #4 for say GBPUSD, and so on).
Is my understanding correct?
Who has set up their system in such a manner? (2 charts on just one currency pair for now).
Am I jumping the gun and no one has definitively tested such a setup (whereby it exhibits a consistent 1-2% or some such earn per week)?
* Perhaps the highly volatile period should be broken down in to 2 time periods (therefore 2x EAs on same pair, each with different MagicNumber of course). Like chart #1 30 min before and 30 min after London session, and chart #2 30 min before NY open and 30 min after NY close.
