Goodmorning 60,

Are you short EU ? I entered on the breakout of the first down bar, but should probably have entered on the pin bar that printed the higher high. It may be wise to consider pin bar irrespective of the pin bar body.... Just a thought.

I am short, trading this way I make no judgement on the shape of a bar because it has no statistical edge, the entries are in essence a coin toss so we make money by using good judgement on the exit - my win rate is nearly always bang on 50% - the big idea here is that we remove as much of the decision process as possible, reducing human error and rely on the logic that price does and always will move in up and down waves, if we can capitalise on the bigger swings we will make profit through a 50% win rate and a higher than 1R R/R (I average around 2). It's a slow consistent account growth with compounding

EU low buy anyone? - this is easy stuff if you get the mindset right that you can not compete with the banks and the algo's, you just have to play the numbers game - revel in the uncertainty, don't try and remove it

I trade in similar fashion with the added complexity of having to trade during the Asian session ( so it's scalping for me), so I am interested in trying to CLEARLY understand what you are trying to say without trolling through 3 different threads. I am still looking for a video or post which outlines your method simply and succinctly. Would you or someone else please point me in that direction?

not dense at all DX, valid question.

well the first thing I would say is I have suggested various methods to trade - all using the logic that market's just move up and down in a sine wave of varying amplitude and you would be as well to trade that logic as any predictive analysis.

In this thread the basic strategy is this - the EUR/USD and the GBP/USD (well any european currency against the dollar) will most likely make it's high and low of the day in the European and US trading sessions. So, if during those sessions price has made a new high, and a h1 bar has closed down, a breakout of that bars low is a sell, vice versa for new lows and a close up. 'buy low, sell high'

Thank you 60. I appreciate your speedy response. I trade in similar fashion (trading between the lines as it were). The difficulty I have is the paucity I experience during the Asian session. I thought your method might offer me something more I can use during the Asian session. I am a price action trader with an understanding of S/D and S/R .... maybe I have to move to Europe for easier pickings. Looked to your system to maybe find a clue to help me trade the Asian session based on last High and Low prior to the open in NZ. That is why I am spending my Sunday morning (herein Australia) looking at charts. Sorry to communicate this way but I can't do PM and I don't do Facebook et al. I use Skype a lot.

60, would you mind telling me what is the 'highlight' tool you are using in your videos?

If I needed to trade the Asian session using lower timeframes then I would look to pairs such as GBP/AUD EUR/AUS GBP/JPY or move to higher timeframe trading. If you are trading an instrument at the times when there is the lowest volume then you are at a serious disadvantage.

The app is called highlight for mac, just a freebie but pretty good.

p.s dont be anti-facebook, the way most people use it it is a constant stream of useless info, but for a closed group, a trading group, it is the best... the level of functionality is amazing and with good info it just becomes the best blog template there is out there...
