Good day to you all!
Finally I can start to work this out again. I have fixed the issue when you suddenly stopped the EA or closed the MT4, then restart again with the same settings. But Recreation and all important / core functionalities didn't work. It is now working since I've just fixed it.

The fix is not released yet, I may (of course) need your help to test it and let me know any issues after the fixes. Please get the MQ4 file in RdzGridTraps.codeplex.com, go under Branches\v1.7 folder. Once confirmed OK for a week and no issues reported, I will raise it up in Trunk and release the new version v1.7.

I have tested on my side, I think it didn't give me any issues again.

The only thing that you need to remember for this fixes:

  1. If you stopped the EA for sometime, then the price is moving too far from the grid, EA may throw errors since it can't push the pending orders. But anyway, the guide price will be moved accordingly.
  2. There is 1 issue I didn't fix. It is when you use any Close Type as Right in start point for this case it will not work. But it will still be closing by Target Based, not by Start Point.
  3. If the Buy count and sell count (both pending and opened orders) is uneven due to some errors when it was executed, Recreation (All) may not work.


Now, let me get back to sleep and will continue again sometime.

If you ask me to code/fix your EA... it's probably not for free...

Hey Radityo, you said that on v1.7 you have a stop next when stop loss triggered. Is it working already? Did you test it?

But magic number changes to 1002, 1003, 1004... (to the EA work simultaneously with other pairs)
I have increased lot size to 0.03 with $5,500 balance. I use most 10 pairs simultaneously so the risk was increased to $180/lot.
I have reduced TP to $1,5 per 0.01 lot.

Finally I realized how to display several trades (ie. full cycles) in the trade explorer you provided. Great!
Still trying to understand how this EA operates.

First I am looking at the sell cycle in CADJPY (H1 bars) beginning yesterday, which was closed today at a net loss.

Was it the EA or you who closed the cycle @98.80? If it was the EA based on some level/threshold of loss, why wasn't it closed some hours earlier when price was at its peak in the swing? Considering the three open sell positions the net loss must have been somewhat larger at around 95.90 than where it was finally closed.

Another question is the chart shows now 4 open buy positions in a net loss (eg. @95.00) obviously larger than the net loss the former 3 sell positions had at closure. Why haven't the 4 buys been closed based on the same level/threshold where the previous 3 sells were closed?

That's another thing that i like with this setup. Since running losses are low most of the time, i can close trades if uncomfortable with the market, some extreme event in near future or if something goes wrong with VPS or whatever (like yesterday), and will not make a huge dent on the account like other setups i used before.

Have you ever had the EA close out a losing cycle for you or did you always do that manually before the EA would have reached stoploss point?

I mean your trade explorer is showing amazing returns overall and I wonder if it is the EA doing it automatically (starting and stopping cycles), or is it rather you making the right decisions based on how you see the market and using the EA only as a tool to help you manage the many orders you may have at a time.

As a matter of fact trading the GTLIMIT system is kindof a 'martingale counter trend' approach whereas at certain point you start selling as price rises and buying when it falls using predefined levels and then hope that you'll get a retrace somewhat bigger than 50% to be able to get out with some profit.

You are absolutely right, I am using as a tool to profit from ranging markets. The profits will depend on choosing wisely the pairs to be used.
I set $100 stop loss but it never came near that. You must understand that is $100 loss PER PAIR. The biggest loss per pair i've seen was $40.
The trades closed in loss was all manually.

Hi Radityo, just wondering what is the different in setting of your TE live for GTLimitEURUSD and GTLimitEURUSD2 ?
because the EURUSD (without 2) is showing better results.

how come register for demo they ask for verification details like passport etc already even though is just demo?

dont have that in others demo i tried. register demo, download mt4 and good to go...
For the first time running losses exceeds 2%. AUDCAD and AUDNZD are stuck.
It's time to test the results on spreading risks....
At the end of the day i will force close all trades, my idea is to off during weekends.

I will. I thought I can remote to my servers to get the set file, but I can't. The connection is killing me.

While i stop next cycle with v1.6 during weekend, i backtesting with v1.7 at EURUSD H1. So far so good until i try using Stop Loss Dynamic Base - Lost Type : Balance - Stop Loss Multiplier : -0.1 - Backtest period from 2015.06.29 to 2015.07.31. The chart suddenly fail to continue and the EA stopped. Could you check it Radityo Ardi?
I dont know if it will be have the same issue on forward test.
