I agree with what you're saying about overall increase in participation generating better flows. I was pointing out that the influx of high volume during Europe/NY cross can sometimes create unfavorable trading conditions.

There was a veteran pit trader who discussed this. (I'll see if I can locate the video) But one thing he mentioned is that the largest amount of money passes from weak holders to strong hands during the NY opening range.

Anyway, it's Monday after month end close, and August, so pretty quiet at the moment.

OIL is tanking... hopefully we will see some retracement. Short from 47.29, but would like to top up.

Thats a logical assumption. Also during data volatility (FOMC, NFP and stuff). Imo most of these intraday settlements are between HFTs and retail is just a smaller part.

That would be great if you can. I use opening ranges a lot for my frame of reference.

Long pending at 1.09615 just slightly above the EMA 200. Think we might see a retracement back towards the 70 - 80's region.. risk at 602 where we saw some decent resistance earlier on and the whole day. I think we pivot there. Think we play here before the next LDN opening. Not looking to trade for too long though. Just feels about right for a slight bounce upwards.

If we manage to clear 1.1, then i think 1.1036 is on the cards before heading right on to test 1.1102. Big news week given NFP so i would like to think that we will play this range before any further moves southwards.

Love the 15 min on EJ alot more potential upside to downside risk so im taking it - risk at 35.65, 36 swing point 1. Break of 45 invalidates the whole set up.

a). Pivot at 1.09602
b) R1. 685
c). R2. 85 region
d). R3. 1.1


Downside break of the TL on 4 hr invalidates everything. It correspond with everything else which IMO is rare so im going to respect that level (1hr TL, 4hr TL, 30 min TL and 15min TL). It also corresponds with the 35.65 on the EJ so that's just basically my risk.

It is just week beginning. This week I expect it to be bullish. Let us see.

It should not drop below 0900.

i wouldn't bet the farm.. cheap fuel has people buying new suv again. car building is better paying jobs along with demand for labor.. nfp may be a surprize

like germany the u.s. has a large portion of gdp (high %) directly related to car production.. one of the largest industries in the united states is car related. sales are up 10% since last year. of that 10% a larger % is being produced in the u.s. that domestic % is growing. as manufacturers come to the reality cheaper energy cost is the place to build cars. techs are already pointing lower.. fundis do the same.. its just a slow moving ship/

Typical Monday. Just put in a pending position limit sell based on the Daily slightly down trend @ 1.1026. If I get it I get it. It's assuming it will try one more shot at the resistance. Doesn't look likely. If it doesn't work then I will do a buy at the bottom of the channel.

But there are some other trades which are connected to this trade so I have to close those trades at breakeven.


My new targets are:

Breakeven Target = 1.1150 or 1.0850

Bullish Target = 1.1050
