Raising interest rates isn't all good for the dollar?? Stocks tend to decline (because the cost of money goes up), mortgage and loan costs go up, exports decrease (price of our goods go up globally at the same time global currencies decline against the dollar), it can cause deflation (lower cost of goods but also lower profits and income) or worse stagflation where the economy contracts and goes into a recession at the same time (and unemployment rate goes up).

The FOMC news might be a mixed bag, not a clear winner and they may be trying to decide between the lesser of two evils (not raising rates has its problems too like the bubble collapses and they can't do much about it). And they can always change their mind in the fall. Might cause more swings in the EU.

Also get the impression there may be some quiet intervention going on as "somebody" doesn't want the euro to depreciate too much against the dollar. Bad for both economies at a certain point.

If anyone is interested in gbp, this 'could' be interesting... beautiful fresh demand area below coming out of what appears to be a heavy supply area...
we'll see...a little late on the entry, but we must trade what we see!

You are allowing 50 retracement against higher tf retracement. That's why I would wait lower tf retracement first than may be long.

Can you post your lower TF chart. For me, the 50 % retracement is on hourly chart, which is posted above.

nothing is holding anything. this is price. all it does is fill the orders and move up and down. there is one truth - the current price. everything else is a bull crap. can it bounce/reverse from 1030? yes it may. this is applicable to 1031,1032,1033... as well as 1029, 1028, 1027... etc

For me, the middle band seems to be holding the downmove in an uptrend in 4hr chart.

You can see how it has been holding at all times.

The brokers rarely ask where the orders come from, and why buy so much one day and sell the next.
