Yes agreed upward momentum strong and would not consider shorting here although it's at a hard barrier with daily R3, weekly S1 as resistance and 1.55 so I'm out at the moment and waiting. Rgds, Angus

1st 4hr falling trend line gets taken......strong move up after p/back to 5475/80 area from 5500.....any strength left to go higher today ? 61.8% 5627-5328 at the present high (not shown on pic below.)

Why don`t you count this pattern as the 1st and 2nd wave since the low ?
Wave ii is an irregular Flat - price target for the end of w.ii: c = b.

challenging that area now on 4hr - 3 fibs just above....reports say offers to 5550 ? 5545 is 61.8% extension of y/day pip range. How strong are the offers at 5550 ? pushed thru everything else so far although price is more extended now.

Now here's a question to boggle the mind - considering that this is not a zone where buying is sound on the institutional level and most stop losses on short positions remaining after the past 4+ hours of stop hunting are in the 1.565/8 area... what the heck's happening here?

Is there liquidity? Not before the US market opens. Has there been bullish GBP news? Not that I know of. Is the GBP flat across all pairs? Yes, PA on other currencies is moving the GBP.

Please don't walk into the slaughterhouse guys, just observe for the rest of today

could have been eurusd led which moved up strongly too...ie positive correlation between the 2 pairings and gbpusd could have moved too on growing optimism of a greek deal and therefore a more stable euro zone which is a large trading partner for Uk ...who knows really...good job that we technical traders don't have to know the fundie reasons, we just trade what we see on charts.

BTW often get asked why does it say Demo on the Chart, I don't like to trade a system with my Broker for obvious reasons. Prefer them just to take my trades.
