Your GT1000 Trade Explorer is impressive, but the Trade Report reveals 53% DD on 500:1 leverage. This would never fly on a US account, where we are maxed out at 50:1. What do you recommend for us poor souls who are under the iron grip of NFA, CFTC, and FIFO?

i'm just curious how's the TP and SL (close trades in loss position) works. that's all.
As my understanding, TP (ie. 10$) is calculated from all opened position (both profit and loss) if it got (+10$ total) then it's close all opened positions?
pls verify if this right? so I can help reply others that been asking about this too hehehe

so if that's right, ie. 10$ TP with 0.01 lots is equal to 100$ TP with 0.1 lots?

i'm setting up a forward demo testing for 2 of your strategy:

GT500#125
- this one named based on 500$ starting equity, and based on your set on post #125,
- also added small modif with the new feature "close when no order". i see no reason not to try this one on this setting,
- adjust the lot size and TP as the equity is half as your set. 0.1lot, 20$ TP
- adjust time to GMT+7

- adjust the lots size and TP as the equity is half of your set. 0.4lot, 40$ TP

nice EA. been backtesting it.

about the Grid Step (in points) and Current price interval...a value of 50 means for a 5 digit broker will be 5 pips rite? for 4 digit broker is 50 pip interval.

am i rite?

If you ask me to code/fix your EA... it's probably not for free...

That is how I test the limit lah...
Proportionally lotsize and target move together. Both multiplied by 2. And if something wrong / loss in backtest, then that is the limit. Or sometimes I lower down lotsize only but increasing the target, or otherwise. It depends on how you test. Once it is fine, then try implement on demo acc for forward test. When all is good during forwardtest and want to start live, need to adjust / lower down the target and lotsize by half or 1/3 with the same balance as previously tested demo acc.
If you ask me to code/fix your EA... it's probably not for free...

ok forward testing it...

im using H1...grid steps 10...current price interval 10, recreation threshold 50

my chart i saw red dotted line named as InBID 1.10967
so it has limit order on 1.14007 and 1.07971.

what is this InBID thingy?

looking at the distance from 1.10967 vs 1.07971 seems more than the size of grid steps 10.

lnBID and I suppose together with lnASK is a visual reference actually, what was the Bid and Ask price the moment the cycle was started. There are 2 thing. The interval from bid / ask to the inner order is not the Grid Step, but it is Current Price Interval. Then the interval for each of the order is the Gris Step.

First, I would like to thank you for sharing the set files. May I ask, for the GT500, what leverage account do you use? I have tried running it on Oanda 50:1, and eats away the margin very fast.

Wow... 1:50?
Then you have to multiply the current settings of GT500 by 0.1. Or you need to start with 500 x 10 = 5000. My lev is 1:500.

Just to remind you, do thoroughly tests first on demo...
If you ask me to code/fix your EA... it's probably not for free...

hi all

im testing interval of 10 (1 pip for 5 digit broker) and fixed target profit of 1 cent.

so far ok, but i think for real live accounts, such tight order may not be executed rite?

only works in demo account it seems.

okay tested briefly the EA today. been trying to understand how it trades.

the EA at startup will have 3 levels of price, rite? UpperPrice, LowerPrice and Bid price.

Is the gap between upper, lower and bid price adjustable?

How long a cycle of trade will last? Will this initial Bid price (which will determine the initial entries of limit/stop orders) stays permanent?
I mean how is the next grid of entries will be based on?

Is there somekind of safety net in the EA?
I was looking at one of my limit orders which trigger but went the other way and floating at loss. So was wondering at what stage will the EA close the loss trade.

I started mine yesterday and it looks very good. Looking at your trades, it took 4 trades to burn the account...you might want to re-adjust your lot size?
Considering I am using 50:1 leverage, i decided to use fixed .01 lots for now and see how my DD and margin requirement behaves.

Well..I know... i just want to help Radityo in forward testing his backtested strategy on post #139.
He use 0.8 fixed lots, 80 TP on 1000$ initial deposit and it went good on backtest...
So I try on 500$ but with adjustment on lots size too.. ie 0.4lots and 40 TP. (should be equal with his setting)

Meanwhile the others strategy went good.

Interesting. Radityo said he is using 500:1 leverage. This is a very important factor to consider. What leverage did you use may i ask?

Sorry i am a little confused, although I have read through the thread several times... What are the current trade explorer settings being used in the GT500? I.e., for example the trade explorer says that the pending orders are STOP, however your settings screenshot says that the order operation should be LIMIT?
