Dunno about the employment data as i don't trade news. From what i gather from my amateur half baked chart, if we do reach 1.1230 or above on this round without pullback and with good voume....... i don't think it will be easy for the bears to bring it back to below 1.11 without reaching 1.14+ first.

I cannot make myself to close my short positions thinking this pair would go down if it still cannot go up despite terrible set of US data. Am I a part of the ones who is so greedy or cannot sustain the long position enough ?

Even though people saying they are not correlated i use usdnok as a proxy for eurusd moves most of the time.

It works pretty fine for me

This morning they both reversed at the same time, and usdnok had better reversal PA
Same thing when it reversed 17/18th of march

And that's why 2 weeks ago i was looking at 1,12xx for euro. I checked usdnok which want below something near 7,35

That's interesting! I just did an overlay with these two pairs, and you're right! Why, is this so? What drives this correlation? Thanks for the "head's up"!

very unlikely it is going higher now. greece news was a dampner. expect to see lower levels now.

Gold about 1200 and Oil bout 60. m5+m15 suggests correct now. Hope it doesnt go deep .
Edit: m15 invalidated, wasnt closed and reversed. Momentum up pretty strong.

Start thinking about news releases as a way to touch technical levels and you will see why news release and price do not always correlate. Short of anything extreme, news releases are only there for good entries (not exits). Most of what is news to you is yesterday's paper to those who actually move markets.
The price will go where it has to go.

I guess there is a link between them and Oil + USD correlation.

But i don't look at oil, it acts on his own to me

Now is a SaP sellof after PMI data pulling us down to correct. Depends where USD sell cash flow comes from, but think are investors leaving country to invest in Europe QE. ..So correlation between SaP and USD could be a bit broken. Perhaps.

Yes mate, charts could align. Gold corrects from 1200 Oil from 60 and SaP goes down on PMI and it outweights investment cash flow so USD goes bull. My stops are ready 1,5089 and 1,1082.
