A rate cut is not on the table at all at the moment. Carney has repeatedly stated that rates are most likely to move up next. That could always change of course, but for the moment the BOE has an official hawkish stance. Same exact position the FED is in...

yeah, I remember what Haldane said a few days ago and his statement definitely has some weight given that he is the BOE chief economist, but, as I said, the official stance of the BOE for the time being is that rates will need to go up more likely than down for their next move.

Fed officials, including Yellen, have said exactly the same thing: US rates are most likely going up next, but if data deteriorates, they might even go down and QE might be brought back....in summary, both central banks maintain an official hawkish stance but are stating that all options are open and if we look at the recent data over the past few months the FED has definitely more reasons to change its tones to more dovish ones than the BOE imo...

USD rally is sowing the seeds of its own destruction - too easy of a one way trade and runaway fx rates are unbalancing global trade. IMF knows it, Fed knows it - and it wouldn't be too far fetched for the legs to get kicked out at least temporarily by some unseen "action". It would probably be for the greater good if the Fed were to jackknife the USD fx rate, decapitate some speculators, and put the fear of two way markets back in the hearts of participants. No-brainer trades attract no-brains participants, until something breaks. Look no further than the post FOMC freakout on March 18 for how paranoid markets might be that perhaps this shiny happy magical USD no-pullback rally is perhaps so easy that it's too easy.

1.4731 on daily, 1.4740 & below on 4h except FOMC day. As soon as 1.4766 is broken with strength if possible, I expect range between 1.4740-1.4699666 for the close.
