{quote} very disciplined trader. Good thing that many of us closed our EU and GU sell positions on 12 Mar. Some of us in a trading workshop laughed saying we should avoid Friday 13... turned out to be coincidence. It wasn't Friday 13 that we were thinking, it was something else.

It looks like it could be. A bullish engulfing candle/harami candle suggests a bullish bias, we are oversold below 32 although the yellow MBL is still to the downside though. No TDI confirmation but will be watching for one. How am I doing, Emman?

Hi there TSS,

Nice trade! How is the LO high confirmed? Do you look for PA moving opposite FO high, producing possibly a series of HH , then a strong candle in the opposite direction, confirmed by the TDI? I understand that LO high is confirmed within the first 3 hours of trading. What other factors did you consider before entering this trade? Thanks!

My broker's MT4 time zone is GMT+10. Does this in any way effect my analysis using TMS?

Though i trade on M15 and H1, But while I saw Daily candle, it greatly differs from other's chart. i.e. hsn100 short on GA, but in my mt4 TMS is showign buy signal forming...

Thanks in advance.

Hi joynal2u,

Every Day candle has its own OHLC - Open High Low and Close.
We all trade the price what the market shows us. Your day open may differ by a few hours, that's is not the problem.
We do not trade TMS based on signals. We trade based on price action and its relative momentum which the TDI (or moving averages of the RSI data) is showing us.
It is all about entries and exits when we trade.

First, you need to decide what your trading hours are in your trading business plan. You can trade at any time of your day using your H1 chart for your entry so long as you have decided on your trading hours. That requires discipline to be available at your computer during your business trading hours.

Hi birdnest,

The two 'most deadly' news events to day traders are - FOMC and NFP.
I learned not to fight the FOMC and NFP market. Rather close trades and take what the market gave you and return to fight another day. Trading Discipline - Rule#8.

What you can learn from is to go back and look at your day charts for those day when there is FOMC and NFP. Look at the Day candles of each FOMC and NFP days,

- how often do you see a reversal caused by FMOC and NFP.
- how often do you see a FOMC/NFP day candle high/low hitting its previous 2 days high / low.

We should not give up more than 50% of what the market gave us to fight these two news events.

hi rupasi,

Sometimes all the Technical Analysis TA no matter how consistent our approach we adopt, our TA will fail us.
It is the market itself that wields the ultimate scale of justice.
We must learn to discipline ourselves and play by the 25 Discipline Rules at all times.

Dear Emman,

Thanks for explaining. Yes, I missed the importance of the big 2 events, which served as a good lesson for me to look into. I have been trading really small lots and last week was a good trading week though.

what do you think about CCI or Stoch closing?
stoch 8,3,3 seems sometimes too fast but what about cci
- Close Buy when CCI returned from above and was less than 50
- Closing Sell if the CCI returned to the bottom zone is greater than -50

here is a BT pic w/ CCI 50, -50

CCI is not part of TMS as devised by the owner of this thread. As for stoch, in the words of the man himself

I also use a Stochastics (8,3,3) indicator. It is ONLY used to confirm direction. Nothing else.

TDI and PA are all you need for entry/exit for the system to work for you

Another gem of wisdom from the man

If you add other things it will influence your decisions... usually to your detrament. Don't try to complicate it thinking it can't be this easy.
