GU reached at safe heaven, here we can trade between 150 pips average trading range based on day candle stick and chart... trend is staying at weekly line until next week's GBP's "Official Bank Rate Votes", "Annual Budget Release", and USD's FOMC

Hi, regarding (2), that headline came straight from Ransquawk. Looking at Carney's speech more in detail here's exactly what he said:

"The bottom line is that there is a risk that the combination of persistently low
global inflation and the strength of sterling could weigh on prices here for some time. But despite these
headwinds, a solid UK expansion, underpinned by strong domestic demand growth, leaves us on track to
return inflation to target within the next two years. To deliver that outcome, a gently rising path for Bank Rate
is likely to be required over the next few years."

This is the BOE governor spelling out the fact that interest rates are (likely) going to rise over the next few years. That is a hawkish statement. The statement about a strong sterling potentially weighing on prices could be interpreted as dovish, but it should be overshadowed by the explicit sentence on rising rates, as rates are what ultimately and directly drives currency value, not inflation. One could argue of course, in the case of cable, that the FED is making similar hawkish statements as Carney, which is true, but my point is that the extent and the speed of the sell off in the pair has been exaggerated, given the alignment of the monetary policies of the two central banks....

I am expecting a doji day. Unless it breaks 1.4850 again, though 1.49 seems more likely.

I think that will break the daily resistance before turning for sale. Have the data Construction Output m / m also ..... watching meanwhile, closed order

@1.4990 DR1 or @1.4918 DPP?

I see jumps in price up, 2-4 pips each time. Seems more like profit taking & low liquidity than buyers.

The closes and opens of the past weeks in blue offer strong resistance now. If they fail @>1.4920, then it will come back to previous levels. To me today with all the profit taking and being Friday is the last day for the bears to hold the ground in order to proceed to lower targets. If they fail then doom (@1.5+) is coming. The only similar structure on the weekly is back in 2010 when it managed to pierce below the previous weekly support on the way down.

NU ready to break support and go to the bottomless pit. Would be helpful if it does it soon and with speed.
