Yes, it seems like a big gap is likely at this point. I REALLY don't see it gapping up.

Sorry bro, can you draw me a picture/chart, don't know what you are saying.
I'm not trying to prove my outlook is right as I have learnt that is pointless, it's just a view and am ok with adding another short at 1.58 if it goes there.

But really, what is the big deal? A 4-month extension? It's just kicking the can down the road, no? Brokers have been paranoid as fuck since the whole SNB "surprise". How the fuck did they not see that coming? Well, some of them did, but many didn't. God, that was sooooo obvious that there would eventually be a HUGE move in EURCHF. They couldn't hold that line forever, of course it broke!!

I am not saying I was short (or long) for that trade. I wasn't willing to sit in a sideways market until it happened, but it was obvious it was coming eventually.

I see what you mean now.
My monthly chart explains a little why I'm not expecting a reversal this time. We've had market hesitation, then a breakout of the monthly channel.
Can it reverse? Of course it can, I just I think it would be harder this time with that channel breakout and weekly cluster above.

Just my own candle / resistance techs and fundies are not for it.

Only time will tell bro, my charts won't affect the market but just how my reasoning, as do yours

I looked at the timing of a few of these "warnings" (which, truth be told, could benefit some of my positions). Some of these warnings came out before the announcement of the 4-month extension deal with Greece. Not to say that gaps couldn't or won't happen, but I think they are unlikely to be dramatic; the market had some time (more than an hour ... ) to digest the news prior to New York close (although, for example, with EUR/USD, it's looking awfully wicky in both directions, at least on the hourly). Naturally, some folks who have SL's or orders within the "gap zone" might open up their platforms at the beginning of next week's trading and find themselves in the middle of unwelcome slippage ... .

With my GBP/USD short, I'd welcome a massive gap down ... . ... Unlikely to happen, though, the pair's reaction to the news of a four-month extension consisted of a fairly insignificant shrug ... .

Don't do Dax, but looks correct. Quick look I see butterfly on pin, and 161,8 extension weekly.
