Hi Scorpman,

The Synergy Pro Tdi.

This tdi is a real time (moves with the candles) sentiment indicator.
It is built around a 10 rsi (green) with a signal line (red) & the market
base line (yellow) with 2 (blue) volatility bands with 32, 50, 68 market levels.

Their is a lot to the Tdi indicator. It basically tells us where the market is,
(oversold/overbought, at par, signals/exits). I have studied indicators for
8 years & the Tdi is as good as any indicator out their & better than 95%-99%
of them. The tdi can give us lot's of different signals, from the crossover to the
hooking of the tdi.

What I would suggest is watching it react to the market & watch how it moves.
Get a really good feel for it. Understand it & get in tune with it.

Emmanuel is probably better than me in describing it in mathematical detail.
The tdi is a large % of how we react to the market.

You're indeed correct. When I entered, all was going up, but I should have waited to the candle close to confirm it. As you can see, it was not confirmed and turned the other way.

Snarly, most here (including BigE) considered Dean Malone the inventor of TDI. Well he shure is a great marketeer. But if you take a copy of Constance Brown`s "Techn. Analysis for the Trading Professional" form 1998 ......... And some 10 years ago another seminar speaker claimed this was HIS secret indicator he taught and an author stole from him.

No problem sj,Sorry if i sound like an idiot but what is the "pac" and "apbs" i dont think im too up to date with the lingo lol. Also i really like the green moving averages on your charts, what periods are they? I like how price interacts with the lines and provides insight to where to go next.

There was another system a long time ago called the
Daily Fozzy Method (2006). What Fozzy did was use the rsi
indicator wrapped in bollinger bands. Looks just like the tdi.
It was a very successful method.

I've wondered if Dean Malone didn't get the idea from Fozzy?

The problem with Tms is the thread has gotten so large.
2689 pages or 53,768 posts. However, their are "lots" of
golden nuggets in these pages!

I would go back & read all the posts for the last month.
We just tweaked the method just a bit & took out the guppy's.
My advice would be to read & practice. It takes time to learn
how to trade & you have to do the hard yards & grind it out.
Their are no short cuts...Look at my latest charts (today's charts)
for the set-up.

Yeah im in the process of reading from oct 2014 till now. Going to take a while but in trying to take in as much as i can. For some reason my html is stuffibg my posts since im on my phone and wont let me use spaces or characters so you may not have seen it in my last post, but what do pac and apb stand forThanks for all your time and help, hope im not bothering you

Just my 2 cents (or 10 cents depending on how long I ramble) on psychology, trading lower time frames, etc. Had a little slump recently and decided to take a look at what I was doing differently from my profitable trades. My recent losers weren't necessarily bad set ups; some profited, and then some of course went negative, but nothing consistent this week, which was unusual.

My big winners from previous weeks all had something in common which were that they traded with the daily; usually by the 2nd or 3rd strong daily candle, I considered it trending. By dropping down to the 1H charts, I figured that I didn’t really need to follow the daily, and of course I was wrong. I looked at my losers and realized that most of the time the daily was in consolidation. I’m sure most of you know, to be profitable on lower time frames, A LOT more attention is required to be profitable, at least in my case.

Trading 4H charts at 1am, and 5 am (Est time), and trading with the trend has been the most profitable for me, and less stressful (the original way Eelfranz traded). To me this seemed contradictory. I thought that me trading on the 4H and Daily while being profitable and stress free meant that I wasn’t maximizing profits. Although that sounds stupid it is hard to come to terms with the fact that you really don’t need to be stressed all the time to use this system. Our brains are wired in a way that we think working hard and working a lot is the only way to get results (which is the case for a lot of things) but of course the big winners in the investing world aren’t necessarily the hardest workers, but the ones who are patient and can control their emotions.

Another small bit of cliché advice would be that hindsight is 20/20. I often get a little annoyed when I wake up and see that there was an 80 pip set up that I missed on the 1H, and then end up forcing a trade because I missed out on one. I may think that I messed up on my analysis (and I very well could have) but trading in my opinion is more about using what you know to your advantage, rather than trying to force things that are out of your control or in areas that you aren’t so good in (the 1H time frame in my case). If I can trade the 4H, I should stick to the 4H, instead of going after pips on time frames that I stand little to no chance in.

Not saying that lower time frames are bad, but I think the reason a lot of beginner traders lose money is because they want the profits that come with the 4H and Daily charts, but they look to the lower time frames for it, and for most that just isn’t happening. Waiting for 4H set ups that align with the Daily charts obviously reduces the amount of trades you take a week, but I find that those 2-3 trades usually give me 60-70 pips each, with little or no stress.

Tl;dr Find a time frame that works for you and stick with it.

GU, a little slow Asian session M5 all was green for a long +4.3 (5 lots) target was quarter level 1.54250, but got bored with this one and close early and then it hit my target of course....

Here is a quick update on NZDUSD.
Comments I wrote on the chart below.
But I want to say something about using moving averages. Most traders use moving averages as dynamic support and resistance. Some traders/investors believe that institutions uses moving averages like 50/100/200 periods, etc. There is some truth to these beliefs because we see how price reacts at those moving averages all the time. Moving averages are derived from the real price, therefore whatever period we set to our moving average indicator on our trading charts, there will be a point in time that the moving average will catch up with the price.
therefore, as TMS traders, we look at the real price and its APB and the TDI first, then see how the PA will react around the moving averages as it often does. It is your decision as the trader to decide on what you want to do, for example when you are in a trade do you want to exit by scaling our, close all positions, tighten your stops to protect profits, etc. Remember it is the CONFLUENCE of support and resistance and the PA around the CONFLUENCE which should be given more weight in our decision making.

Hi Ray,

There is no time limit for the master candle to be valid. It is the range of the master candle which we should be looking at. Once we see that the market has made a certain range, we have to decide how we can trade within the range define by the market. That can happen in any timeframe and in you chart example, you see a M30 master candle, when the MC shows up, we need to consider trading only in the lower timeframe only until the market breaks out of the MC range.
You missed a wide range bar many periods before that M30 MC. Master candle are usually wide range bar or WRB but not all the MCs are WRB. That WRB has significant meaning or concern to some traders because it is a WRB with hidden gap in it. If you see the WRB happen at 1.5400 and how market yesterday traded on M30, that WRB was re-tested' and something is going on around the BRN 1.5400

I've been getting a lot of pms about the way I trade so one more time I will show the way I do it in detail. I haven't taken images of all the trades as I wasn't going to post about it again on here, but this morning I did so I could post it today. This is how I look at the charts. What I am basically doing is trading the higher timeframe's tdi bends and steps along with good pa on the lower timeframe, so in the case of H4 this morning I was looking at pa on there along with a bend in the daily. Note: If I'm on the lower timeframes I need to see a good step in the higher timeframe but on daily it takes a lot to bend the tdi so I look for that.

So on the following chart it shows you what I look for when I'm trading the higher timeframes, on GJ this morning there was a lower high, divergence, the daily tdi started to bend down, rejected by the resistance level above, there was enough room left to the ATR lines and an inside bar so chances were it would go down. 100 pip take profit and 100 pip stop loss. Obviously I wouldn't let it go to 100 pip stop loss if there was a signal the other way.

I've taken 5 trades this week, no losses and 500 pips. I'll post this weeks trades a bit later because I have to go out.

Pending put yesterday. It turned out I figured correctly. Stopped the deal manual, due to the release. A little rushed, the price has reached the exact level at which the TP was.
