exports will continue moderate recovery due to global economy and weak yen;

will continue with QQE as long as necessary to achieve 2% price stability;

Near future and things like that (long, mid, short term) are words like nice, beautiful, harmonic....means a bit different for everyone.
For me the near future is next week.
But let's say...this year? Good chance. (1.2xxx even better)

Last reasonable turning point was over 1.2....since that level shorts are doubled (the herd).

That was only for a very short period of time, a few weeks or even not that much. Turkey's current financial situation is not comparable to those days.

4 shorts, thats how many shorts i have missed today on AU. All of them were short of hitting by little alerts, cant watch charts lately much busy but trades go by.
Have EU pending short resting at 374 but its not gona get hit most likely, will remove it in next several hours.

I don't think we will have such situation anymore. All the regulations changed. Actually government took over all those problematic banks after a while who gave those crazy rates and we all Turkish people pay the bill. Total amount money spend on that crises is about 150B USD with inflation added calculation all depths closed around year 2011.

I understand. Still a good deal if you could repatriate the profits without hassle. What's the current interest rate on deposits for TRY?

it is around 10%. I do not remember tax ratio exactly but it was around 20-45% I guess

If you were a foreign investor - 0% as far as I know- correct me Rockerzeus if I am wrong. I wasn't in Turkey back then.

Yes I remember like that for foreign investors. The values i gave for Turkish citizens.Ratio is depends on some divided levels of income. Some part no tax and above some levels its change.
