Anyone else seeing a fast move to 1.5550-1.5610 area once this thing finally gets moving again? A stop at 1.5160 gives a solid r/r.

This pair is really stuck. last few hours massive volume, with only 20 or so pips range. There is a tug of war happening.
This pair will move hugely after the news from BOE

You bet it should !

On the daily GU is in a triangle that is getting tinier and tinier. 1,52 is -strong-support, and the daily SMA40 is strong resisitance (tested 3 times and held).

Nothing will make me take a position before Boe news, but after I may consider three scenaris: break out from the triangle, and I will wait for a pull back -conf to enter, or bullish signal at 1,52. I will enter straight. All this on H4 Tfs.

Watch out too for eurogroup meeting today that may affect badly european currencies.

Does the triangle you are referring to start on jan 23rd and thru present? An ascending triangle? If not, can you explain? Thank you.

In wave theory, I'd say that we complated A and B of a flat, and are now needing a small push down for the 4th wave of an ascending 5 wave triangle long to complete the C of said flat. So we need another price high and then we'll move hard short. If driven by the news cycle, we'll wrap this triangle up fast in order to move short with the news for a new low to go below 1.49220.

today be calm. no rush is needed to open position on Gbp pairs.
WAIT UNTIL THE NEWS ARE ANNOUNCED
It will be a crucial day for the future of this pair.

GBP to continue downtrend IMO... technically momentum doesn't look good on daily chart, but I'm clearly understanding that GBP can rise big. Probably more bullish on GBP/USD than all the other XXX/USD pairs.
