Prob... There are already signs that this move was bearish move that will get sold off back to 1.135 etc so I will definitely be looking for entries to short.

I would say that there is a little possibility to jump to 1,1500 if close on H1 wont be lower than 1,1414 (today). But I wont put money for 1,1500 .

u have a populist leader, some say more leaning toward old red values and cozy with Moscow. i dont think its much of a stretch for him to do the populist thing. after all, the ecb is doing what it needs to do. and he will do what he needs to do. if i was a ez bank with exposure it would be on my mind. even the Swiss have exposure. i dont think its prudent to put our head in the sand. who knows? maybe the Swiss depegged ahead of this train-wreck on purpose selling the euro. how one banks exposure effects another or the whole system is secret. its not like a banker or a central banker is going to make it public. i do know at 1.5+ triciet (ecb) had rose colored glasses on.. then at 1.16x last month, dragis had another view.

A squeeze higher is not ruled out after NY open. 1450 is current resistance which is holding. Above this 1480,1520
Intraday only.

I definitively see you point Gator and i kind of agree with the risks in Europe (and the world) from this crisis.

My point however is about the impact for us traders trading the euro.

When I say "betting on the status quo" its because there is no much room for anything else. Look we both almost 100% agree on the major levels down. We know that parity is just around the corner (and even technically below to 0.8xx). We both know that the fundamentals and perfectly aligned to a move to those levels (ECB QE + FED hikes and economic divergences between US and Europe) so whats the point on expecting or betting on doom? (for a trading perspective)

Lets assume tomorrow Greece collapse and leave the Euro and there is panic round the financial world? so what is the worst case scenario that can happened in the euro? Technically? nothing!!! the same levels will be in play. It can no go much lower than those low levels.

Well you can say the euro will disappear? ...well if that happens we are screw as traders!!! because we WONT HAVE any trade or any target to ride...the Euro will simply disappear from our platforms without giving us any penny extra.

In simple words, when we (i mean in general traders and investors) know that you have almost guarantee ride down, there is better bang for the buck in betting on the status quo in Greece because it allow us to have these retraces (like now to 1.15xx) or any future ones and ride the pig squeezing the legs until we reach to the final destination.

The alternative (chaos and panic) will trigger one leg and after it will force CB and/or governments to halt trading the euro or even worst setting a fix floor until the euro is properly split in mini currencies ...

Point being, i agree with the risk of Greece and it will be a mistake for Europe bury the head in the sand, but for us traders we get better bang for the buck betting on the status quo ....

In any case, this morning remind me of the 2010s the soap opera has been in full motion, there is comments and counter comments and blah blah blah every 10 minutes mainly from the EuroZone Eurocrats but also from the main bastard sources from Bloomberg to FT ...thankfully we have been here before so basically: IGNORE
