I agree 100%with you.iv been shorting this pair since July! Europe is not OK and I'm not seeing any recovery for times to come.Looking at the technical in my imo at the moment I will try to ride the break of this multiple year support alongside the break of the 200sma on the monthly tf.

I was short from 1.2130. I donīt know, maybe my TP 2001 was too early. By the way small long 1.2001 sounds quite rational. Thank you for your opinion

EU hits 1.1997 in my chart, dont know about yours. Wonder if 1.2000 is the bottom. Next week more surprises . Looking to short from around 1.2050.

I have warned abouth 1,2 since september. Next stop is 1,15. As long as no inflations signs in the euro sone it will continiue to decline maybe down to 1,1.

People are loosing money because they are trading this.

And ive been calling for parity in 2-3 years time as US begins to hike rates while ecb expands their monetary base...

I do not belive in rate hikes in the US for å long time. They just talk. With the high US we will start to see worse figures for the US soon- WE see some signs of it and then they have to weaken the USD again. I think there are some agreemenet between the central banks FED and ECB which supports the eitheter currency. When we get better figures from Europe and worse from the US it will change.
With the lower euro the infaltion will come and foreign investors will attract spendig in the housing market in the south of Europe which agan will lift the economy in the south of Europe and the eurosone.

Forgive me, but im in disagreement with you. US will hike rates, and the rate hike cycle will probsbly end when it reaches 3.5% - 4%
You might say... That higher rates will make us economy suffer, id disagree to that too, hot money flows love higher rates to park their money... Look at AUDUSD in 2008.
Also recently we see both US equity and US Bonds rising in tandem, usually that doesnt happen with domestic flow alone, this goes to show how much funds are coming back into the US from say emerging markets etc etc.
So if anything, US higher rates this time around wont hurt US too much, but emerging markets will spark large fears..

who cares abt your warning. so you are telling me you will short the euro here for potential 500 pips. last time this shit was around 1.18 there were similar talks abt parity and it will discontinue and all that bullshit. Guess what it zoomed to 1.5. so a potential 3200 pips. It will not do the same now but draghi cannot challenge germans beyond a limit. I am sure some comments will come from bundesbank head on draghi's views. mere talks cannot keep the euro down. he has to act in a big way which I don't see happening. I am still going for 1.28 on the euro.
