close my long from 1.2015 at 1.20153 with a few days worth of negative swaps and of course initial broker's spread. i reckon this pair's gonna keep trading under 1.2015 for a while, thats just not worth my while, if daily swaps were at least positive it would be encouraging. i'll stay out till nov 30th.

Not quite sure what everybody is worried about with this gold referendum. If it gets up all they are going to do is buy gold with Euros bought while defending the cap:

XAU/EUR will go UP
XAU/CHF will go UP

and EUR/CHF will stay at or above 1.20.

Why is this a threat to the cap?

Because it would make that al least 20% of franc value to be actually gold value, meaning they had to restrict or freezing the monetary base, that would drive franc to be even stronger.

The reason SNB and Swiss gov.t don't want it is not just because it would be threat to the cap, it would be about converting Switzerland in immobilized gold vault, that would change and impair their economy much beyond a simple exchange rate matter.
