There seems to be some support around 1.7830

Also, if it is to drop, do you see there being a rebound higher first, perhaps to 1.8050?

{quote} Weekly delivered a bearish trend acceleration signal last week. And since i consider weekly signals more powerful -- especially in a trend -- I'd view Friday's positive PA in that context. Today's pin bar is a case in point to that effect. Weekly pressure can easily force the daily momentum to roll over as well.

Powerful indeed those Weeklies. We're on course -- as I mentioned last week , 1.5760 is just a matter of time.

GBPUSD short-term oversold conditions, could possibly see a potential bounce-back to 1.5810-20 level.

just think...oil is bottoming and US is selling it....what is UK going to do to help his long term partner? no to mention the lack of exports...which could mitigate such move...15200 end of January is quite possible...level to watch is 15666

I feel it is time to risk some on the long side from ~5750 support by IB bars and for further strength buy stop .5783.
Invalidation if price could close under .5717...

I think we need to break above 1.5790/1.5800 s/t resistance first and then we'll see 1.5830/40. The problem is in this low volatility environment where trends are overextended and half decent retracements are either non existent or can take hours/days to materialize, we might have to wait a while, perhaps til US figures come out later or longer

I agree with the previous poster, this is way oversold technically and fundamentally. The news yesterday, while maybe slightly disappointing if you expected an hawkish boe, were largely to be expected and nothing new imh, but the chart seems to be able to only point on one direction these days....
