{quote} Been having a bad feeling about this pair in the last 2 days, ive got several long entries totalling 5lots btw 2045 and 2035 and everytime I get to BE around 2040 region it gets back down to 2032. I'm so exiting this trade soon, seems like a trap to frustrate all longs by keeping price below 2050 for as long as possible and scare them outta their position. I'd love to get out b4 ecb later today, just might be ugly, but what do I know?

There we go again. I'm on the sell side this time. New support has been defined and it's tradeable all the way down.

Not be so sure... we see lowest price since 2012 on 1.2030. So we can expect some new high in next days...before Swiss gold referendum. And for sure, referendum will be negative , same with Scotland independence , we all know that all that will be negative just speculations for hedge funds !

"Insider-": Sure he loves precious metals, always was, always will.
That doesn't make him whatever bad name you call him.
He advised everyone to buy gold since years and years, If you listened to him in 2000, you quadrupled in fiat currency terms (300 to 1200 USD)

What's your problems with precious metal ? So much hate about gold and silver.
Have you been so brainwashed to love a number on a computer screen that represent a currency created out of thin air by some central bankers ?

They can manipulate any asset they want thanks to unlimited currency creation on top of devaluating it year after year.
That's what this is all about too by limiting them.

No problem trading gold, one can make money with that as with anything else.

But you have a reputation problem being a contrarian gold bug and trumpeting metal as the correct universal value on a currency trading forum.
Especially when Septimius Severus demonstrated already in year 200 DC that there is another way to value human work and a country's power.
Call it evolution if you want.

[edit] Scalped for a little profit. Having support still better than not having.

Paz, Gold "bugs" if you want to call me like this, want precious metal to store their wealth, not trade gold or silver.
Let's say you make a million USD trading currencies, what this forum is about, and want to retain that wealth for later (let's say 30 or 40 years, or maybe pass it to your children). What do you do ?
You keep 1 million US Dollars in a bank account ? Beetween the 5 main asset classes, which are cash, bonds, stocks, real estate and precious metal, where would you feel more confident you have something with some purchasing power in 10s of years ? With transportability, low cost of detention, no counterparty risk and other benefits ? You may think about that kind of stuff the day you have serious money to save.

I don't think to have "trumpeted" "metal as the correct universal value", and I hate when people put words in my mouth I actually never said.

Anyway, about your reference, which is a little bit far away for me, I tried to search what you mean, but didn't find (I didn't spend hours on it either).
So now I'm curious. Tell me, how was your guy running the thing ? Not using the Denarius at that time ? Which they were already debasing back then !
What do you mean ?

I'm not a good person to ask because I'm not attracted by gold in first place. Visited gold mines for work, took the pic with the 400 oz bar, wasn't impressed. I dislike gold jewelry and wouldn't be fond of storing gold. To pass wealth and the ability of retaining it I wouldn't use gold, I would pass education.

I think if one comes here and repeats after ultra-nationalistics that a rich country with a lot of gold should hoard even more, that is enough to say one is biased too.

Septmius Severus was the emperor that, as you said, debased the denarius by 50%

Ok, I give up.
The question was what would you do with 1 million, you're answer is ... impressive. You don't like gold, ok sure, question was what do you do with your million ?

Your first affirmation was: "Septimius Severus demonstrated already in year 200 DC that there is another way to value human work and a country's power."
Which was what ? To debase the currency ? That was your point ? I'm sorry, but you're a moron.

Sorry, but what would you do with your gold in a crisis? You buy food? Selling 1 kg for 2 potatoes in case you re hungry? Or you throw it against the one, who wants to steal it? You invest in weapons to protect yourself for the big crisis yet?

I dont want to think too far...

Dont buy gold, buy land and become a farmer, i guess youll get your gold cheaper afterwards

And the guy in your video seems to have at some points right, but it would not be as easy for switzerland to handle a stupidly overvalued currency... Less Tourists, less exports, less jobs, less gdp,...

Guess there will always be fiat money in future.

Sleep comfortable on your gold, ill do it on my fiat money bought bed now
