While your right that neither will prob raise interest rates, a strong dollar is bad for the US if euro economy continues to falter. This will in turn slow US growth as exports and trade with Europe suffer. The US economy is showing signs that it isn't exactly growing at the rate everyone thought before (when the dollar index was at monthly highs, stock market at all time highs etc.) and this will in turn lead to $ strength weakening as everyone scrambles to save their ass. Everyone was already writing off the British economy hence the strong downtrend we've been in its been taken into account. The fact that the US economy is no longer growing at the rate everyone thought (and bet) that it would be is going to cause a weakening of the dollar. Throw in weak consumer spending and inflation below 2% will lead to what I believe to be a strong pullback and possible trend change. Just my .02 though as i'm no where near an expert (hell im a hobby trader and still in college)

While I do not disagree with anything you have said....all things being equal, for risk aversion purposes money will flee to US securities which = stronger dollar....but like you said just my opinion as well.

I did say it will try and get back to 1.6050...should have spotted that it had to return to 1.5870... There was no way they would make those Asian boys have all those free pips last night.

I see a correction coming 1.65 is a possibility..only because if it keeps falling it means its going very low and i dont trust USD especailly when the euro looks it is supported on a good buy zone..

keep it tight bro..dont lose yur account man..if yesterday daily high breaks then theres some bullish diverence which may support the bulls
