Closed all loss trades, lost lot of money but fortunately saved enough money to start again

I had an interesting talk with a guy who trades in a bank, it totally changed my view of the market and view of indicators. I have a new strategy what I have worked on and trading continues without a volume indicator for now on.

AUDNZD Short Trade Closed

Since there was a huge bearish bar pushing the price down and there were several pullback to below MR1 level (marked as blue line) ,it seem MMs push the price higher for sell. We also have the classic patterns.

I am really sorry to hear of your losses considering you were doing so well. In order that individuals may benefit, can you share some points that led to this.

1. Would you say that position building was the real factor as you generally placed many trades and was always averaging up or down?

2. Interestingly, are you saying that using the Volume indicator serves no real purpose?

Position building is always dangerous because you only need one bad day and all the profits you have accumulated gets wiped away - we have probably all been there!

The Sonic R. System

Loeil has posted the close of six trades today, which according to his post involved considerable losses. I and others have expressed to him, either by PM or by posting here, our deep felt empathy and encouragement. This is a very unpleasant experience to go thru. It is one every seasoned trader has at least once, if not more than once. It is an adversity that can wipe out a trader and discourage them from ever continuing, or that can sharpen the discipline of the trader and heighten their resolve to succeed.

Of particular interest is the statement loeil made about talking with a trader at a bank and then changing his view on indicators, removing volume as an indicator, and changing his strategy. I do not know if loeil means he no longer intends to implement the Sonic R. System or not. I do know this, and from experience. When things go bad, questions and doubts arise. It is such a time, while suffering from defeat, that one can be unduly influenced by other information obtained.

The Sonic R. System works. Moreover, it is elegantly simple. Being effective, yet simple, is why it can help the most traders that are seriously striving to improve. A trader does not have to be seasoned or exceptionally talented to be successful with the Sonic R. System. The trader only needs to follow it!

As we all know, loeil traded his own method. It was based on how he interpreted volume - as indicating bulls or bears in the background - and then on picking tops and bottoms for entries, and then building at more tops (higher or lower) and at more bottoms (lower or higher) with the anticipation that price would eventually capitiulate to his trade direction and net him a profit. Those of you that were here thru the summer of 2013 know how this can turn out. And it turned out the same way for loeil on those trades he began between July 22, 2014 and September 10, 2014. Is it a "summer syndrome" of the market? Or is it simply a dangerous game to play with the market any time?

Since the experience I and others had during the summer and into the fall of 2013 - just as loeil repeated - both I and Sonicdeejay have expressed that Classic setups are the essence of the Sonic R. System. We all know what the parameters for a proper setup are. Going long below the Dragon to "catch" extra profit in anticipation the price will capitulate to your trade direction is not the Sonic R. System. Going short above the Dragon to "catch" extra profit in anticipation the price will capitulate to your trade direction is not the Sonic R. System. Repeatedly, the warning has gone out against doing this and against attempting to build a trade while it is "red". These tactics do sometimes work. So, some here have continued to ignore these warnings. I am ashamed to say that out of bad habits, I also have ignored these warnings from time to time, and hardly ever with results sufficient to justify having done so. Even this week, with eighteen of twenty trades closed - profitably - the two not closed are of this type and are deep red at the close of the week.

Unfortunately, excepting one, all of loeil's trades were started by entering on the wrong side of the Dragon in anticipation of making extra profits. The one exception is his trade on gold, which he entered on the right side of the Dragon. But it was a long trade, and we know that loeil has liked to build up his trades over time, with a considerable number of entries, and gold has been bearish for over two years now.

Sonicers, we cannot endorse picking tops and bottoms. We cannot endorse entering on the wrong side of the Dragon in anticipation of greater profits. And we cannot endorse adding to trades while they are "red". The Sonic R. System is elegantly simple and effective. We all need to be following it; not some "hybrid method" that better appeals to us as individuals. And there is nothing wrong with the indicators chosen for the Sonic R. System, including the proper use of volume. A long time ago Master Sonicdeejay laid down this cornerstone statement of the Sonic R. System, "Dragon.... with S/R, wave, price action..& lil bit of volume..." http://www.forexfactory.com/showthre...06#post5360506). In another post, Master Sonicdeejay states, "Do not trade solely based on volume...It can lead you to very dark place.. We don't have unlimited fund..like big boys do...So, we need a better timing... let wave and dragon show" (http://www.forexfactory.com/showthre...26#post6626326). This is a message loeil chose to eschew, saying "No I'm not concerned about dragon or any whole number. Dragon can change direction in 15m. What I'm looking is volume and S&R areas." When things go wrong, we begin to question what we are doing. And we might listen to others that are maybe successful doing things much differently. However, when things go wrong and you are a Sonicer, the first question to be answered is this,......did you follow the Sonic R. System?

Yes, there are many ways to trade. Some uniquely talented folks can be successful no matter what method they use. Some folks struggle no matter what method they use. If the Sonic R. System does not feel right to you, be elsewhere using another method. If the Sonic R. System does feel right to you, then do what all progressing Sonicers do,.....follow it! The least amount of work here is that work which is required to learn this unchanging method. The greatest amount of work here is that work which is required to change the unchanging "You".

My best wishes go with loeil, no matter what path he takes. My best wishes also go out to all Sonciers; that they will understand the message here, embrace it, and succeed in the days, weeks and months ahead.

My friend loeil. I sob when i read your posts. It reminds me of the hard road i traveled. I am really, really sorry that this happened to you. At this point in time, its natural for you to question everything. If this your only source of income, my advice is take some time doing demo, trying any system. Don't give up on sonic yet, give a try for anything, and let it show its nature. If this is not your only source of income, i advice you take a break. Leave it a be for a month or two or longer, before you come back.
I tried many systems, i still keep my astrotiming systems. But, the one system constantly give me an edge is sonic. Still using both systems, sonic first, astro for second thought.
You feel anguish, and you want to take revenge. Don't. Pour your heart out in your diary, or talk with your trusted friend, but don't jump into revenge. It can blow up the rest of your money saving.
TAH have warned me (and others) about our habit to break basic rules of sonic entry. I suggest you review your trading, and pinpoint entries not suitable with these rules, and entries suitable with these rules, and compare the results. But, do so not immediately. A week or two from now, since at this time, you need to grief. It is healthy to do so.

First of all let me thank you for giving me an opportunity to learn this system.
The setup from page 1 is very straightforward for a newbie like me.
What really made an impact on me was reading this :
