Jason Because metatrader sends Fill or Kill orders. The Bank that received this price rejected it . Are you stating I should expand the slippage 2 be filled? I would state. You should Send the order 2 other bank and not send it back 2 me not filled. This is why I liked IBFX they would shop the order 2 the bank. I can not shop it becuase I do not have a relationship with all the banks

I don't think FXCM supports nano lots, but I think they do allow micro 0.01 lots. So I guess the question would be if the No Dealing Desk (NDD) allows 0.01 micro lots to be traded, but I'm sure Jason R. can give a definitive answer on that...

No reasonable bank would take those orders with out pooling them 1st. It means that they can not claim STP NDD and offer those trades. UNLESS they are processed internally

I would agree since I don't recall liquidity providers/banks ever liking 0.01 micro (1k) lots, but let's see what Jason R. says is the smallest lot/volume size supposedly possible with FXCM's NDD and why/how.

The way IBFX's STP dealt with this issue on-the-fly, nano and micro lots were processed internally while the bigger lots went right through to the liquidity providers/banks...

depends on what kind of deal you have with your LP, the bigger you are the better deal you make.

Anyone know why I am unable to run a single backtest???

I find this highly suspicious. Even worse, no one is answering their phones. I know the market is closed, but they should have at least 1 person somewhere in the world taking calls.

go to history center and look at data base size. mine keeps saying zero, even after a down load and a restart

The stats above are from the Forex Magnates industry report for Q4 2011. I would post something more recent, but that's the last report that's available to non-subscribers. I hope the authors won't mind me revealing that even their latest reports confirm FXCM's lead over the other firms listed above in terms of monthly trading volume.

  3. Delete all folders that start with FXCM-(server name).

Done. Thanks Jason. Here's hoping all goes well. Probably not necessary but I made a backup copy of the server folder before deleting it. Old computer hack habit.

Your charting issues on MT4 server USDReal09 should have been fixed with the solutions we implemented this past weekend. Please see the steps in my previous post and let me know if you still have any problems.

While our customer service team is available to you 24/7 by phone, the hold times may have been longer for you this past weekend with the 13,000 new accounts we onboarded from IBFX, and the news of FXCM US launching our new lower pricing. For this I apologize.

I downloaded a demo MT4 along with my live account so should I do this to that history folder also?

Hi AllyB,

This particular charting issue only affected one particular MT4 server: USDReal09. That means you should not have to follow the steps in my previous post for other real servers or any demo servers.
