DislikedBut even more important than this is Are you going 2 keep the IBFX interface between the Banks and Metatrader? They have some software that they developed that prevents re-quotes ..... I doubt you even knew that they had that. It works like this. Price is rejected at bank it is sent in nano seconds 2 another bank. Metatrader orders are all FILL or KILL.... So they catch the FILL or KILL and send it 2 another bank........I have not had a IBFX re quote or Off quote in .... I am not even sure how long... Some of this was controlled by the server you...Ignored

Well, I called FXCM an hour or two ago asking to speak with a technician, and guess what? Just my luck. They've all gone home for the day. So I am loading the historical data MANUALLY for ALL 58 pairs. I expect it will take about 2 more hours or so... but hey, what can ya do? Been at it now for 30 minutes and I've gotten through a whopping.... 7 pairs!!! Don't get me wrong... I am still frustrated as sht.

May be worth trying to delete all the data for 1 of the pairs you havent fixed yet, restart platform with that pair on chart. see if it forces re/download.

What do you have bottom RH corner of your platform, no connection or 213/1589 kb type of connection. I had to use ...17..:443 (see an earlir post of mine) I think the first time to get server connection. Now it has ...09 on the list. The download is coming from where ? Mine looked like from meta quotes, not fxcm. So I exported demo and then imported that on live. May be worth trying to delete all the data for 1 of the pairs you havent fixed yet, restart platform with that pair on chart. see if it forces re/download. cheers Scalpz
Also, I have no problems getting the "Real09" server to appear in the dropdown list. It is there, it just does not load any of the data.
I am inclined to agree with Jeff Crystal that they are probably buying their data after market. Of course I cannot say this for sure, and honestly I don't know much about it, but what would be the reason, you ask? It would be cheaper, of course!!!

I was never able to import the exported demo account data because... well, my demo accounts didn't work either!!! I do appreciate everyone's suggestions, however.
The only reason my indicator now appears to be working is because I manually loaded the data for all 58 pairs, which took approximately 3'ish hours. The data comes from MetaQuotes, as I believe all MT4 historical data does (correct me if I'm wrong). I also hope to god I will not have to do this again.

What you have pointed out actually highlights a unique advantage of FXCM's MT4 setup.
If you received an "off quotes" message, then it most likely means that the price that was available in the market to fill your order was outside your specified Maximum Deviation range. The "off quotes" message lets you know that the order was cancelled to protect you from negative slippage beyond your accepted tolerance.
On the MT4 platforms of some brokers, the Maximum Deviation feature might not be available at all, and with others if it is available, then it can limit both your negative slippage and your positive slippage equally. By contrast, FXCM enhanced how Max Dev works on our MT4 platform by allowing you to limit your negative slippage while still enjoying the full benefits of any positive slippage.
Here are the stats compiled from over 43 million trades executed through FXCM from August 2013 to January 2014:
- 73% of all orders had no slippage.
- 15% of all orders received positive slippage.
- 12% of all orders received negative slippage.
- Over 60% of all limit and limit entry orders received positive slippage.
- 53.32% of all stop and stop entry orders received negative slippage.

If you find that you are getting the "off quotes" message too frequently, then consider increasing your Maximum Deviation, particularly if you trade during times when prices can change quickly. You can access this on your MT4 platform by going to Tools > Options and the Trade tab as shown below.

Since FXCM uses 5-digit pricing (fractional pips), every 10 points on the Maximum Deviation is equivalent to one pip. If you adjust your Max Dev to 30, that would equate to price range of 3 pips.

It's been a busy week for all of us, and I find it very encouraging to see everyone helping each other in this thread.

I'm sorry to hear the demo solution did not work for you, and you had to import the historical data manually.
To answer your question, if you download data from the MT4 history center, then that data come from MetaQuotes.

Other than the one little blip of missing data earlier this week I have had NO issues. I am very pleased at this point with FXCM. The new spreads are fantastic ( I like to scalp every once in awhile), the execution has been flawless, and I made money this week.
As long as things continue in this manner (yes I know the profits are up to me) I will be very pleased.
BTW Jason, you do a good job considering you have to deal with the traders here on FF.
