no balance or open trades seen on fxcm......

it's not to late to copy your ibfx journal records..... just to be safe.....h
to trade and code, keep both simple... no call to impress....h

***BTW, FXCM claims we'll get better spreads compared to IBFX. I compared today near the end of the day & the spreads are larger @ FXCM. Not sure how they are during peak hours but will see Monday.

That's the truth about bankruptcy procedure, we would practically be at the bottom of the list to get funds back if at all.

FXCM seems to always be half a pip higher if not more, I looked closely at both the IBFX and FXCM platforms for the last two weeks. For example on IBFX the EURUSD would go below 2 pips from time to time but on FXCM it always seemed to be at 2.5+.

Bottom line no real savings for most folks, IBFX's EURUSD week ending spread 2.0 pips and FXCM's 2.9 pips...

hey pt...... quite a few fxcm reps called me quite a few times over the past week and one mentioned only funded accounts would be transferred..... i had 6 ibfx accounts but left money in one......

fwiw, save your ibfx folders..... esp your history folder...... it appears minutes ago ibfx started shutting down something.... my accounts still log in but can not pull up charts..... this goes for the deleted charts also..... and it does not matter if the platform is logged in or not.....

data with fxcm's download is very limited.......

i had scripts that would download all available ibfx data in one click, and i mean years and years of history..... those scripts are not working with fxcm properly..... the ways we used to download history manually, such as just repeatedly clicking on each hst file or using the left arrow do not work either.....

i am having to import all my history data from my ibfx accounts.....h

yeah me too. i was upset when ibfx all of sudden closed my open positions and at the same time no balance at all in fxcm. will keep an eye until next monday morning

quick question, about your "gone" open trades, is it shown as closed transactions in your ibfx account?

in mine, it is being shown as closed transactions. basically ibfx automatically close all my open positions when they turned off their server yesterday. so my balance got reduced a little bit because of this reason (and that's why i'm upset). im afraid they will transfer the "reduced" balance and not the full balance with the open positions at fxcm. hope to hear soon from fxcm.

and btw i'm fully aware about "less than 1000 units will be automatically liquidated" bla bla statement from ibfx awhile ago but all of my open trades are far above 1000 units

hey rsg..... mine now show closed as of 4:02 cst..... more likely they were transferred at 4:02 cst...... i placed three, 5 mini lot, trades yesterday just before the close to test the transfer....

on a good note, the charts are now back on the ibfx accounts...... that had me concerned abit.......

backed up each accounts entire folder so i could pull out templates, indicators, ea's, layouts and such later......h

ok that sounds like a relief. i thought it was just a technical error for my account but apparently they do this to all accounts.
Hey, anyone showing any balance in their account? I probably should be more patient, but it's not in my DNA.

I've sent a note to cust. sup. yesterday, but have not heard anything back yet.

My account showing $0.00 but I expect it showing a balance sunday evening or Monday morning.
I use 2 brokers though so more patience for me :-)

On the FXCM MT4 both of my accounts are now showing their balances transferred from IBFX, though the IBFX MT4 also still shows those same balances.

The IBFX home webpage is now a full blown TradeStation page, but the MT4 client login link for access to your statements is still available at the bottom of the IBFX webpage.

How thoughtful of the TradeStation folks...

i can confirm that on my new FXCM account the balance has been transferred. The open positions are also there. However, they reset the TP/SL so apparently have to edit it tomorrow.
They send me the login information to FXCM-USDReal09 server, but I can't see that server on my platform. I have to wait until they open the office in order to give them a call. I think FXCM will be better than IBFX. We'll see.

What worked for me was to manually type or (cut & paste) "FXCM-USDReal09" in the menu prompt (drop down menu). You can also manually type the data in the "options" menu under server.

Hi Everyone,

The spreads you see heading into the closing of the trading week (or right after the opening of the new trading week for that matter) are not typical of what you'll see during peak hours. Now that you're clients of FXCM, you should find the new pricing on your accounts to be very competitive.
