with the NO vote winning and all the new and improved power and financial improvement are coming from Cameron and UK gov't promises.
Therefore finAncially now England is poorer but UK stay same. The pie is now divided in equally now....maybe.....
so Yes gbp is still same before the whole fiasco of YES winning.
Technically we see GBP/usd median ranging with support around 1.47 and high 1.71 of recent... this range I've shown has been around since 1991...

When a poll was released over the weekend showing Scots voting "yes" for independence was closer than ever, GU gapped down on September 7th. That negative sentiment remained for a little longer until price reversed around September 10th, proceeding to make higher highs and higher lows. This was signaling that investors were buying GU at a low price because although after the release of the poll the for and against independence vote gap was closing, there was still a more likely chance of the Scots voting "no" and fundamental data was bullish. Even intraday leading up to the release of the vote results you can see big bullish spikes showing that a "no" vote for independence was being priced in. This was helped by news of major cities voting no for independence, a major blow to the Scots who wanted independence. So since a "no" vote was already priced in, we saw a "buy the rumor, sell the news" situation where after the results were announced, traders took profits on there long trades and price quickly proceeded to fill the liquidity gap/vacuum created from the previous buying pressure. A "no" vote doesn't particularly make GU any more attractive or the BOE any closer to rate hikes, so it didn't go higher. That inefficiency was created when the poll first came out and was diminished leading up to the release of the results. Since a "no" vote hasn't really changed anything for GU on the macro fundamentals front, traders traded it back to fundamental value as if this vote didn't even make an impact, and as you can see on the charts price closed near the same area it closed at on September 5th before the weekend poll showing the smaller voting gap was released. From here, supply and demand for the dollar and pound will determine GU's next move.

Hi mate,

I am not an expert on Financial News, but based on my little research. I have come to realize that Scotts Vote has been
creating a lot of uncertainties for the Pound despite positive data coming out this week and last week for the UK Economy.
Now, the Vote is over, we can expect the Pound to regain some kind of momentum to the Upside.

That Major Up and Down move was typical for traders to catch swings while hoping to make quick cash.
Anticipation + Volatility + Momentum = " Money on the Floor to be picked up "

When you look at the weekly Chart, we are clearly BULLISH, and that short-term retracement (Bearish) was only half
the initial Trend from 2013....

Don't take my word for it, but there's always a difference between Market Sentiment and Overall Market Direction... Market
sentiment can last for weeks or months depending on the strength or weakness of a particular Currency...

Anyway, Nothing has really changed, but starting next week, there's going to be a different talking point, the market will be focusing
on Bank of England to start raising Interest rates, and so forth.
Have an INVESTOR Mindset, but Trade like an ENTREPRENEUR

Hi...
we already have two logical explanation above, ...but let me try to give from another side...
Logically it is risky to sold cable after officially "No" has been known...
But, I have opinion that Market movement was designed to kill retail trader (that's why only 3% of trader win)...in term of cable movement recently, why it was drop just after official poll result?.... it is absolutely heavy buyers at every cable retrace try to buy the dip... why they interesting to buy?... public already brain washed with the analysis in many media that a heavy buy interest when the result is "no".
You must be interesting to buy when it was retrace 50-100 pips hoping fast money right?..... massive buyers at 1.563xx and above should be cleared first...
Ahaaa,,,, no body expect 200 pips fast down kill many buy position.....what a move,,,,

when cable make many spike before official announcement, it was clearly to left trader behind because everybody hesitate to open any position before official result...so maybe not many buyers involved during 200 pips hike...
All off fundamental stories just "justification" to explain the movement, and that is after movement completed...
Logically it is risky to sold cable after officially No has been known...

This is not a sweet business, very tricky and sometime we must think out of the box...
My good performance during last week easily destroyed on last Friday ..
