I think the vote will have a BIG impact. If Scotland votes no, and I think they will, the pound will get stronger across the board - if it's yes it'll crash, along with the Yoorow JMHO. Just stating the bleedin obvious I know.

IMHO, the Scotland referendum , yes to come as a winner is not likely to happen. A lot of liquidity from the bank must be pulled out from the Uk banks if this really happen. There are a lot of news saying that how the UK government and the BOE is working on counter measure of the effect of too much of liquidity being pulled out from their financial system. Therefore, fundamentally , I would suggest to buy any dips next week. Especially on Gbp/Jpy, Gbp/Aud or Gbp/Cad. Technically, most of this pair are bullish atm, there are good bullish reversal signal that came to realize. Forget to mention, Catalan are doing the same thing as well, as if Scotland succeeds in their departure, they will also follow in the eurozone. Correct me if I am wrong. Just giving ideas humbly to all of you. Remember to trade with your technical strategy with good money management, do not blindly just get into the buy trade.

lots of focus on vote ,lets not forget it was falling well before any vote , or poll

Referendum polls

The only decipherable trends seem to be :
1. Yes and No getting so close that it is now within statistical error and impossible to call.
Error 5% - 7% for sample size under 500, or 3% to 4% is sample size over 750 (Source : http://www.ropercenter.uconn.edu/edu...als_error.html)
2. The "don't knows" have consistently dropped since Mar 2014 (now in the mid-teens), but probably hold the balance is they show up on the 18th. As the "don't knows" drop, its seems more enter the "no" camp, at least from this graph.

just really the move on the face of it is bullish ,but requires confirm bigger candles than that have been faded, just caution

its said the Market makers plan most major moves 6 months ahead
the Euro had to come down as it was harming exports
(which is reported to actually of been the FED that brought it down on the ECB's behalf of course)

and as the GBP is nr always down at or around the same time and with the Scottish vote they had this fairly well sown up in advance
now if only i could think like a market maker

The GBP and Euro both hit major support last wk (also both Brent and US Oil by a coincidence)
and dollar hit its opposite major resistance, and partial reason for the pullbacks last wk for the Euro and GBP

the MMs and money men probably know full well the results of the No vote, as they re probably fixed the vote already
but doubt though they will make it easy for traders to buy a spike or big upmove
the GBP is at the W200 uptest so strong resistance, where it v often pullsback,
so there's likely a pullback / shakeout there next wk and breakout sometime not long after
maybe Friday? or a huge upgap the next sunday (maybe after a double bottom)

i'm not trading the GBP next wk, maybe the wk after, at a double bottom?

should be an interesting wk

well I'm not so sure ,we had buying on interest rate rise this year ,the speech about early rise ,
then the take back ,
all green data then mixed data

anyway the poll that supposedly brought gbp down was only the other week cause the pollsters had been reading differently up to then ,and they are more respected
actually since the referendum thing came up gbp has been very bullish apart from gap down ,
anyway I try not to think fundi ,theres no way of knowing what else is coming ,
suppose its good to have a handle,
eur I suspect pullback from oversold situ ,its fate is the same as gbp
early movements dictate this pivot area /tl

resistance and especially support debunks alot of it
got to watch both the dollar (although often a laggard at its support)
and esp support on the Euro and GBP are much easier to see (if you know where to look)
(cant show the exact methods for obvious reasons)

the rest - rates / news etc in between is often just noise (as its meant to be)
the general public are oblivious to how forex works, but the scare mongering on the news about the pound is part of the deception about Scotland

the MMs very likely had this planned months ago, cant be hard really,
they just short heavily wherever and whenever they like

and we all know the GBP and Euro will be back up again in 6 months or maybe shorter
(regardless of the news or vote)
