A shame. Any things possible. If someone can do it on demo, wouldn't they surely do it on live?

Sorry its still flawed, you take unnecesary risks just to recover, not even for profit, but just to recover.Smells like no edge system, because why you need to recover every loss if you have an edge, so its actually a gambling system rather than a trading one
If you know the market, the winrate improves drastically (edge is also present), so you can safely lower the risk....He does exactly the opposite.

What you don't realize is it's not about making profit, it's about preserving equity!

recovery or profit... what's the difference. it's all the same... MTM equity and that's all that matters.

If you are very precise there's nothing wrong with tight stops but it's disgusting to me to get stopped by a few pips then have it reverse when I could just keep adding and make even more profit than before (because I have larger size from a better price, obviously never a bad thing)

I'm not worried about losing, because I don't worry about getting stopped out constantly. I'm always floating something. 100% of the time I am in a trade, just like the big money. They are ALWAYS carrying something.

What YOU don't realize is that it's not about winning every single goddamn trade, and if you somehow lose one, you immediately need to recover the money, thats a very newbie approach and its flawed.

Losses happen, every one has them, even professional institutional traders, there is no shame in them, and their purpose is to limit the loss.

You cannot cheat the drawdown by risking more to cover it, its nonsense, the only thing you can do about it is to risk small lot size and have a tight stoploss to limit it.

So what if you get stopped out a few times, if you know the long term direction then scalping a few pips in that direction will eventually be profitable, no matter how you put the stops, its maths.You have to attract the probabilities in your favor.

But i sense that you dont know the direction of the market, so you gamble, because that what gamble is = blind guessing

And that not a very good trading plan if you want to retire from trading.It wont get you that far.

Why would I buy EG 7958 then put an SL 7950 when I know it's going 8100 eventually.

Makes no sense to me to give away a profitable trade for a loss, just because I wasn't perfect with precision.

I have my buy limits stacked down to 7910 (massive ones) because I know that price won't reach this week and if it does, it will bounce very hard.

7940 is the key support.

if I wanted to win every trade I would not have 60% win rate. I get out when I'm wrong, but I have to be very wrong.

See the difference? I knew people would try to talk shit to me eventually, because FF is 95% first year traders, and also because people can't stand to see someone younger be more successful.

I don't know the direction of the market. What a joke. I know exactly where it's going. But to give away a profitable position for a loss, it's just foolish. Billionaire funds don't use stops (tight ones? try 1000s of pips), they enter and exit trades with limits.

Eventually can be 1 hour, 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 1 year, 1 decade,...You probably dont know when it will happen (because if you would do then you would put a SL and have a 100% accurate entry of course), but if you dont know then you might hit it a few times, but what if it goes so against you that you end up with a margin call.

There is an old saying in trading:
"The market can stay irrational longer than you can stay liquid"

Dont forget this quote, because it sums up your entire approach

just relax lean back and watch

i also trade OFTEN without a "SL" in the term you use it.
i have mental stops - or exit on counter signals - i hedge. Hedging the same pair actually IS a stop loss + spread.
the pair can move 23405pip the loss is the same (interest not included). The only difference is with a SL the money is gone, with a hedge you
can make a BIG swing and exit the hedge near a strong supply or demand level on a counter signal - duration is longer but profit is profit...

BTW: when using a SL i move it to BE +x below/above or demand/supply levels.

i have absolutly no problem if that does not fit your style of trading, but repeating the old SL story wonīt change anyones opinion.

SL are like Trendlines, they are supposed to get hit.

I should note that on my day trading account I scalp and use tight stops (5-10 pip)

Never tight stops for the long term moves (big money). Just foolish.

No you dont, nobody on this planet does, they can predict it, but the prediction carries a probability (>50%).This gives them the edge, they can predict the price move with bigger than 50% accuracy, the higher the accuracy the less risk is involved.

If your accuracy is lower than 50% then just do the opposite, but usually its hovering around 50% for every newbie trader that i`ve seen, because they are just doing the blind guessing random game.If you want to gamble fine, no problem with that, but dont confuse gambling with trading because they are different like the sky and the ground.

Yes you are correct funds dont use SL the fashion we do, they put SL but a very big one, however they are "billionaire" so they have the power to move the markets, thats why they dont lose, not because they hedge around blindly.

I think the big misunderstanding is that you think I don't use a stop loss simply because I add to losers.

Note in June I had a 30% drawdown. That's what happens when you over leverage AND you are wrong. If I would have traded small I easily could have recovered that loss on the bounce. But I was greedy and extremely confident, so I went against my rules. I gave myself no room to be wrong, as a result of over leveraging.

i think giving yourself room to be wrong without having to take a loss so early is very important.

profit factor was nearly 3.00 before the June loss.
