Basket selection at New York close. Limit orders in place at Asia open, all positions are closed at the end of London session.

Hi guys, Just a question to those who use the BE function,

if I want to have the Robot just manage the BE function only any not open any trades what are the correct settings? I want to be able to manually open my own trades.

From my understanding the settings are:

Use Robot for Open = False
Use Robot for Close = True
Breakevenpipseachpair = 100
BreakevenOffsetpips = 20

To get this straight - when profit =100 pips, BE will be moved to +20? I've never actually used the robot to automatically do this as I've done it myself, but because we are basketting, and the chart is an amalgamation of charts, I'm finding I'm only guessing roughly what the BE price is and I'm really unsure where I'm putting my BE as the crosshair tool doesn't really give me an accurate indication of the number of pips (hope you guys know what I mean?)

Also do I need to press the start live trading button? sorry guys I've never used the EA to auto trade (too scared )

Is it possible to have the BE trigger to expressed in $x just like the SL dollar amount = $x ? so that when the price hits $X profit, it triggers the BE? I'm sure it has been brought up before, but I guess it would help with the problem I outlined.

Breakevenpipseachpair = 100 (This is 100 pips each pair, if its a 7 pair basket it would be 700 pips, if you want a 100 pip BE than 100/7 = 14.29, so use 15 pips for this setting)

You don't need to press the start button as long as the robot is not stopped, it will always manage any trade it has opened (auto or manual) as long as it is not stopped.
Also if you don't press the start button you do not need to set Use Robot for Open = False as the start button does the same thing.

The start button only controls the opening of trades by the robot, not the close, of course the R button next to each of the buttons disables the robot from that function if deselected.

The Be line will not appear on the chart until the BE point "100 pips plus offset in this case has been reached", the BE line is a fixed line and will not move or trail.

My cross hairs reads correctly, I just ignore the last 2 digits when its on a basket.

Yes this indi has some running problem.we can use either indi slike cash splitting sensor also.The aim is to make more simplier basket writer.Can you help me to create this .İt may be under other named topic

The indy is a common CSS indy found on the Net (Copyright 2012, Deltabron - Paul Geirnaerdt ) that looks like someone tried to make changes to and failed.


Do you have screen shots of what you are trying to do, your previous URL links do not work?

Thanks! that clears things up, Once the BE line appears, will I still be able to move it myself? if I want to?

All lines the EA puts on the chart are moveable, I don't remember if the BE will be able to be moved, try it and see, if not I can always change it. The SL may jump back if you have the TSL turned on, in that case turn TSL off first then move the SL and then you can turn TSL back on.

The EA reads the lines it puts on the chart from the chart, so if you move them the EA will read the new position of them, of course if you erase one then the EA will not be able to find it.

Seller9 first of all thanks for your attention to my EA ideas.İf we use CSS(currency slope strength)İndi it may be again complex to create a basket trade writer.Becouse with this indi we must evaluate currencies one by one first of all.But we can use directly pair strengths as on the indicator that ı attached.

BUY;when pair's strength value is over for example 60 and going up at the end of selected time frame
SELL;when pairs strength value is down 40 and going down

we can make either indi that shows these values on the timeframes we had selected.So we can evaluate the tendency better as looking back function on these values.We can trade directly from these İndi values with compateable basket writer to this indi.

After creating this order generator we will add

Tp and Sl for opened orders with partial closing function and same type equity manager with partial closing option on its Tp and Sl levels , combined with order manager

I would like to check with you regarding historical data due to lag of data update to form proper cs formation at offline chart.
With regards to all TF and currency pairs, can I update data history from time to time at Tools>History Center>double click currency pairs at all TF to update data.

Does this help to update historical data for offline chart cs formation for every TF?

I don't know how to explain more but you may check these attachment below for further understanding.

Yes, just highlight the pair and download and it will download all time frames for that pair, you don't need to do one time frame at a time, just highlight the pair and download.

Version 22 has been posted on first page.
1) 1 to 20 pairs can now be used
2) Compiled under build 670, buttons on left side of screen until MT4 bug is fixed by MT4 folks.

Be sure to use the build 670et versions with the new version 22 EA as it looks for the 670 name for the indicators.

You can still use these under build 646, in EA settings you can put the buttons back on the right side for build 646 if you want to.

No other changes at this time.
