This made my day! My scalp from 1.7060 TPed on 1.7190 and some at 1.7110. But my shorts were still drowned LOL. I don't think the data earlier was significant, it's y/y not m/m. So yeah.. I'll gamble a short pre-Carney speech.

if I am not wrong the positioning was short gbp before the data. lets see what happens in 1 hr fron now

I'm sensing a huge whipsaw in a span of 40minutes. I don't think the data was significant since it was computed year on year, meaning, it doesn't consider the month to month effect of inflation. If the pound keeps rising this steep, I don't think the next CPI will be higher. The BOE was talking about stabilizing the economy not putting them into a deflationary condition. My view is again, the data was insignificant. I'd rather bet if it was a m/m basis. I'm holding my last short @ 1.7146 and not gonna short further.

Good day,

4hr still bullish on my setup. But slowly changing.. Daily chart could finish as a "retrace" candle which can start signalling a move lower later - in days to come. And that would most probably break the recent low we saw. I am therefor again starting to build short on the daily. But will take it slow with enough room to add - should price continue to rise.

That is my plan. Off to meetings.
