you totally misunderstood it, I am taking about last year when before bull run they down the market almost 420 point and start upward move, so if they want to start down move than before that we see a fire work on upper side.

damm I think the day is getting started. 1.72 is not out of question. My question is will they keep it there by eod. I suspect not and some selling will bring it down to sub 7160 levels

Oh, yeah, I agree ... . I would think at least some would close out longs by end of day, lock in profit, etc.

Of course, I've read some analysts advise buying dips for this pair, even at these levels ... . I, for one, will pass on that ... .

The buying on dips recommendation, however, could explain the pair's muted response to NFP's ... . I mean, compare it to EUR/USD's response ... a 37 pip drop at the time of the news and absolutely no retracement and that's not counting the EUR/USD's fading into NFP's by another 45 pips or so ... .

So, WTF ...

Thanks, man. I'm fine with waiting until the right short set-up, but it seems like it's been ages since Carney's "sooner than you expect" speech, and it's wacking out set-up's in various GBP pairs I have an intimate relationship with, like GBP/JPY and GBP/NZD. ... I think the thing to do is just to set a price alert to text me when and if price strikes the 100 hour MA, which right now is at 1.71326, and move on ... . Love thrillers, but the suspense is killing me ... .
