some bastard is doing mischevious and decided to print in a new high. he failed by 3 pips. we have a 24 pip one way move in asian session. I wonder what they like so much about the pound

This reminds me of Christmas eve Stop hunt on Euro over 100pips pomp then dump.
Low liquidity is ideal for brokers pushing for stops
75% retail short on Cable....
Asia making new highs all their own....

it is not the GU they are worried about it is the GJ when UJ came down they bought GU to keep it alive ,retailers like GJ better than GU to hunt the stops

I remember that day. I was sucked in that day. on friday usually in one of the sessions mischief happens. what i find strange is why is jpy being sold. gbp/jpy has rallied from 116 to 175 imagine in 2 years. 5900 pips in 2 years.

I agree. first 1hr of UK session is imp now. if they ramp it to 1.7200 then they may trigger short covering to get it to 1.73

lots of people are stuck in GJ short position and keep paying interest ,that is another reason why they keep it up

if you look at G/J chart last 15 min vs Cable you'll see G/J is still where it was but Cable is pushing higher.

Yen was suffering from deflation. So it's not just the GJ, every JPY pair did went up. This will further continue until the BOJ say the Yen is recovering and the abenomics has indeed achieve it's goal, inflation. I think they did say such thing recently. I'm not sure when but they did say that Japan's contractual monetary policy and their tax hike are working. There will be a huge yen appreciation when they achieve a justifiable inflation.

i am looking at 1, 5 /10 /15/ 30 all of it when they sold UJ GJ went down to 175.21 and then they bought GU it went up to 175.33 right away

do you think UK funds have more money than Japanese funds? No they do not. UK funds are pussycats whipped around by Japanese funds. Soros whipped BOE once; Japanese funds can whip them million times.

i watched the show all yesterday night as well if GJ went down 5 pips they either worked on UJ or GU that is how banks do arbitration

the only way to lower pound is to make the pound in Japanese hands worth nothing. That is to lower rate, not to hike rate.

carney even does not talk pound down. Dradhi at least talks euro down.

What carney talks is to raise rate sooner than later. They want the pound go up. They basically have nothing to export, a high pound does not hurt them.

yes it was 27/12. when stop at 1.3830-70 area was swiped. and pop corn effect was observed.
today is almost complete one years of bull run of cable from when she was print low @1.4814 on 9/7. and we can't see more than two week of bear. after every second week of bear there was a bull. total 19 bear weeks and 33 bull weeks.
did you notice at major turning point there will be a fire work so I am waiting for that and also for a kiss of death spike.
