I think it depends on what one means by "short biased". I can only speak for myself of course.

As a day trader, I'm short biased for a possible retrace at this level for a few before the next launch. Second touch of a strong daily/weekly SR? Yeah, that makes a good RR shot for me to pick up a couple before loading longs to higher levels again.

Shouldn't it be a downward bias since the HPI significantly dropped from it's previous 3.6% to 0.1%? I think it will become a hold back for the BOE to not increase the rates until the house pricing growth stabilize again. I hope the next HPI will not be negative. Otherwise, that's gonna be a T!#%!TW!%S! Fuck Carney, please behave.

All this negativity convinced me to add some longs. If we take out 1.7 (which I think will happen) we should get a nice short squeeze. I suspect there are tons of stops from 1.7 - 1.7020.

yes there are. 1.71 is a possibility now if we clear 1.7028. that will trigger first short covering above 1.70. 2nd one will come at 1.7058.

more than gbp I feel what is happening in nzd/usd is weird. I cannot imagine pair rallying from sub 8400 to 8700 in short time.

Note the CHF seems the dollar is getting weaker as of the open, will need to see the US open but all this talk of war is turning things strange...

there is no problem in europe and US but there surely is a problem in china which is the market is clearly ignoring. If you have been in forex for a long while you may well be aware that china is accumulating tons and tons of foreign currency reserves. they accumulated aussie during 2010-12. they are still acccumulating the kiwi and to be frank I cannot imagine what will happen if china goes burst. to me 1.42 to 1.70 is 2800 pips in 1 year which is 240 pips on an average/month which is too fast.

The other part of this is that they will be the largest economy in the world in a few months now...
