FED buys the top tier assets to the point that they yield so little it forces everyone to buy riskier stuff (ie peripheral europe) thats how it works. Central banks dont buy spain bonds or whatever, they buy only the best.
And you will never see OMT actived because OMT doesn't exist.

I think my point Vachus is that, pay attention to US and US only, forget about the ECB and their fantasy programs and baby crys. US drives everything and if US doesnt show that 4% growth that everyone is expecting on Q2 (big LOL here) forget about €/$ at 1.40

the bs is getting deep. pre 911 the e/usd was falling naturally. post greespan and bush wanted us to shop. the fed dropped rates that boosted most currencies verse the usd, and saved the infant euro, that was in a tailspin. here is more first aid.

dropping the usd has more affect then whats on the surface. it brings up the worlds standard of living artificially. nobody knows where balance is. especially ones basing things w/o considering europe didn't have enough usd not long ago.

I wouldn't say awful but it was the only opportunity obviously on the table today to get to 3650 again

I'm paying attention to US and i'm fully aware of what type of recovery we are getting ... there is no disagreement! But, if the assumption " the 4% GDP) ( +1 Very big LOL) the tapering train will have to stop, if not reverse ... aka printing more money, and the Dollar will be " Drill Baby Drill".

* ( The $1.40 has nothing to do with all of this, i had late April 2014 the idea if the Euro manages to inches near $1.40 - it will trigger the stops ... we could have called it a spike, stop loss hunt anything- but at that time, the $1.40 was clear as the sun was about to be cracked.. But they could lucky this time, with only 7.5 pips to what i was expecting to be an epic liquidation)

Yeah I agree. The FED will eventually halt QE so we will see Eur/Usd higher, but it could be a bumpy road, its not clear they want to halt taper it at the moment and if they refuse to do it even with bad data, markets could start to gather a risk-off that would knout-out the euro as well.

I think Yellen is smart enough to see through it, other wise she will end up dealing with the mess of delay - in case the fading momentum was confirmed ... it will be bad for all risky assets, but not as bad since u already have QE going! But in case they decided to ignore the alarming singles and kept on going, the Dollar rally may start speeding.
