morning 20 pips scalp hit over night , the price does not want to go past 6875 so i have pulled second short plus 9 pips holding that open order that caught me out ?? at 6777 , but that will be all profits money made has well and above payed its way , still short gold short eur looking at pp now 3858. looking for price to hold gbus at 6893 for the next half hour to see if it wants to go short again ,, that me today good luck all today is make or break ,, regards E

hello thread readers

wonder whether we will see some most volatility today with NFP? ...big number expected so has potential to disappoint and if it does will help bulls cause, no ? If number is as good as expected or higher then could help bears cause, no ? Will wait to see. 20 day pip range down to 65 now.

Hi Navin,

Personally 6600 looks too low to me.

1.6660 is a confluence of the rising and falling trend line from the prior consolidation and the prior consolidation mid point (inside the box). But that's a big drop from here. We'd need a good reason to move that far.

If we do, that would be my target. Anywhere along the rising lower trend line of the bull channel where it converges with horizontal Daily resistance would work too. 1.6880 November 2009 resistance is holding as support, so I'm not entering short unless we close below it.

that make sense but remember this time frame does not actually give an idea of how tough the area is for that u need to look at the monthly and the monthly is definitely a road block the problem is can this move below 1.6860??

if it does then it could be the top

I still am not sure if this area is support or resistance

and to add to this the weekly low to high is only around 100 pips..so is not clear in the slighest

Monthly IMHO is just screaming long. Of course NFP or any other number of things could change this but... as of now... screaming long.
