I also love to long the eurchf on the dips that recently occured. The only thing you have to consider is the long term swap which can make a quite big difference from broker to broker in case the pair sticks to the 1.20 floor as in 2012. Currently I have 3 accounts and all of them have very different swap rates for a 1 lot long trade on this pair. Thinkforex -1.96, SynergyFX 0.0, Tallinex +0.20. As I am passionate eurchf bull I would like to understand how these differences can be explained. Does anybody know this and maybe have a tip whic broker offers the best swap rate for eurchf long?

Sorry not really sure on the swap myself,all i know is my broker is a very small positive daily swap.

Its going to be a interesting open to the week again,also a interesting candle formation for the last 3 weeks

bullish then bearish engulfing and last week again bullish engulfing.

Don't be too worried about negative swaps, d reward should far compensate for it if all other things are equal. However, should the trade go south and consolidate below ur entry, determine ur loss n look for d nxt trade. But personally what I've done with eurchf is to trade it on a 2nd acct, so I don't get to see d drawdowns n daily swaps or become emotional abt it. Basicly all my longertem trades r done on my 2nd acct, same for gold n anypair I don't wanna babysit.

I shorted this at 1.22 with an 8 point stop. I'd be happy with anything from 8 to 16 points profit.

Not a bad call LM repeated faliures at 1.22.

i would probably have had my stop above 1.22140 but suppose thhat would mess your RR up.

My target is the Bold Green line which is around 1.2185 in the next few hours. That is where my TP is.

A break of this could signal a mini down trend has started. This green line if it persists will eventually meet the 1.22 line. Then something has to happen.

1216 GMT [Dow Jones] Morgan Stanley notes USD/CHF has been on the rise as the market focuses on Monday's comment from the IMF that the SNB could consider negative interest rates should safe haven flows resume. However, the bank says a more important and immediate issue which could prompt further SNB action is Switzerland's persistent deflation, and it is this which the bank expects to be the main drive of CHF weakness for the time being. Morgan Stanley has entered a long USD/CHF trade from 0.8830, targeting the 50DMA at 0.8910 and on a break above here, the January high close to 0.9150. USD/CHF now at 0.8830. [email protected]

Hi pip yes i thought there was bullish pressure building i would prefer to see 1.22140 broken in a big way first.

Strange move today considering all the ECB members talking deflation and negative rates.

This market is pure shit at the moment and has been for a long time.

Failed break of 1.22140 stil range trading.Last time it was up here it sold of for 90 odd pips lets see.

Hi,
i see several mistakes in your way of thinking:

1) you dont know my strategy .. my strategy is based on theory of unexpected price .. so i dont wait for lows and highs .. im buying different ammounts
for different prices and focus on average price
2) you dont know how much money im willing to risk at this trading setup, so you dont have to say if 39 lots opened at that price is a lot or not

this pair has a habit of breaking big areas only to smash back down 10 times faster than it went up.

I think it needs a rest before going higher. It needs to come back down a bit to gather up more Bulls.

You may be right LM,I'm not so sure and depends how it closes today could be a nasty looking daily candle.

A close below 1.22 today wont be good.

Who knows what will happen. I dont think there are many short orders here, I just think there are not many people willing to go long after such a large move. It may stagnate around 1.22 or it may move slightly lower. Let's see.
