The situation in Ukraine caused instability in the European market.... investors don't like it! and when the European market is fucked up then gbp as well. The main partner for Britain is Europe and Europe's market is not happy with Russia's acts at all! so untill they arrange a solution for the Ukrainian crissis the market will keep on acting like this.

If you talk about UK, than your point supports GBP strength, they sell and take money, i.e. pounds.

I think we just hit the stops before setting a new high

Yes I know about the global economy part. But I don't get is how Russia not getting involved in the Ukraine mess be bad for EU/GP? What, they were expecting the big bad Russia to go in to interfere with the Democracy movement in Ukraine?? I thought they toppled the Ukraine president because he was in bed too much with Russia?

Did I miss something here? I suspect there must be something else that's causing this panic selling and they are just dumping it on this "breaking" news.

I was saying that at this morning. Look for RTS index tomorow. I think it will continue to fall sharplly not tomorow but at wensday. And then MM will undesdand that its over. The GU longs in huge red.

I want to see those f MM in red. I was waited for so long. Fk. them all.

I would think they are selling out of Pounds.. Selling pounds back for Dollar, because dollar might be a medium.. Money would flow out into dollars and then into other curruncy.. Remember GBP/US -- You'll get more dollars for your pound..

Russian crysis is long term effect. It will not solve in one of few days. It can take at least 2 to 10 weeks. So on the GU will drop at least to 6000

I think its all about not being the bag holders.. Everyone is on edge.. and any small thing will cause big volatility which obviously it did. You don't want to be the last one running out of a burning building on fire crying why me..

We still got 2 GBP Fundamental coming out today and tomorrow. They are already forecasted lower.. now if they come even below this exceptions. Construction and Service.. That will even soften GBP more... So I see a break below 1.6600 if the Data supports lower then expectation.

Like I said a few days ago, you have to be rational.. There was always more room to the downside then the upside.. Its just common sense! With Risk on EU.. The Downside is attractive because it can always go back up again later.. Right now its the safe approach.

Today there was a news, that China told US that if they keep pressure on Russia they will demand debt repayment in gold, not in USD. Markets did not react, but this news is much more significant than Ukrainian crisis.

See this is the part that I don't get. EU/GB and the rest of the West is such hypocrite. When Russia does get involved, they persecute Russia for being totalitarian and this and that and when Russia stays out of the trouble, they all think it's a crisis and no doubt will probably blame Russia on this one. Ukraine is NOT part of Russia anymore. It's an independant country and it practices FREE DEMOCRACY. WHY would Russia want to get involved in s*** that's not even in its own country?

Whatever at least I didn't lose any pips over this neurotic market. And they say women are emotional!
