suppose 5 trillion a day for all spot, GBP/USD is about 150 billions a day. CME futures about 12 billions for cable. That company deal needs only a few days trading. I think the GBP/USD running up for so long is due to buying by Yen.

now all yen pairs finished their retrace and are going up again. but U/J has a lot potential to go up more than G/J.

I was expecting this week to be longer. We had so many high impact news, but eventually everything finished well. Glad to hear that the Bear took controle.. for a second time this week.
How about for the rest of you guys. Did you do well ? Oh and the bulls. Did any bulls manage to finish in profits ??

even the stock aspect will have some FX hedging involved so there is more flow because of that, and yes speaking to Head of Spot at "a largish german bank" in last 30 mins next week should see more M&A flow


i m suspicious about the one way moves in gbp out of vodafone - 17:28:28
but that is what the market is geared up to believe - 17:28:41
my true and honest view is that i think it be a volatile mess in gbp next week with a net bias to higher - 17:28:49
but the bias to higher is macro and maybe not linked to the deal -17:28:57

I won't take a screenshot this time and just copy/paste lol

I did also put a time limit on the other upload, only posted it as proof (I could just make up what he said for example) - I also blacked out names involved so it is fine - but if I ever do this I will copy.paste from now on.

It's still very far from being decided I'd say.

There may be still some unfinihsed business to the upside first.. few pips more and daily will close as a Doji or even a bit bullish if we manage to go above 1,665.
I would not rule out another push above 1,67 before the "real" decline starts as I'm also berish in longer term. So better to cash some pips now and keep looking for fresh entries then hold to much at present time.

thanks mate. i was burnt being greedy and aggressive before. learnt hard lesson and play cautious now. yes, always take partial profit whenever possible and load back again, rinse and repeat.

I would suggest guys take partial profit now if you have it. If you have a large short position at BE now, close part of it now, you can load it back on rallies. keep the rest to run if the price drops

I totally agree, I think there will better selling opportunities next week.

I took a half lot long with the SL at break even for the rest of today.
