People find their own idols on here. It's not so bad, It used to be a whole lot worst. What truly matters, its whatever works for whoever, and whoever manages to stick in the game long enough become overtime successful. To quote you, hanging on only lasts so long before those who make it find their own path, and if they last on that path then overtime they might reach the destination.

I guess we all get there our own way.

Based upon Carney's comments we are heading south.With floods and winter unemployment numbers coming up negative only direction or path of least resistance is south Bear.
Yes I could be wrong as well since nobody knows the future 100% but I like logic and that's my logical deduction.

"Having said that, the recent economic data released in the UK, has made many investors wary. But, the retail sales data which is due at 09:30 GMT today can surprise traders for a number of reasons. For instance, British Retail Consortium confirmed that the retail demand is at its strongest level, as compared to the last two and half years ago. Moreover, the jobless claims also fell more than many expected, during the last month, and on top of that, average earnings increased more than the forecast. The net effect of this is the increase in the consumer demand, which we think could push the retail number higher today. If the final number comes at a better level, we could see a rally in the GBP/USD pair and the FTSE 100 could rally on the back of this news. "

I'm not disagreeing, my system also about to confirm a move south. Its not 100% accurate, but out 55 trades 100 pip TP got hit 33 times. So its 60% Accurate that a move down can occur -- which is good enough for me. I already had a short trade before when I thought the top was reached -- Which was my mistake, but it was no point for me to exit as I was waiting for this confirmation.

I also believe until, I get a confirming exit -- We are moving down.. I continue to hold my short positions until the move is finished.

You could be right but most people don't shop big ticket items in February while massive parts of the country is battling floods.
I suspect Jan positive numbers were result of holiday shopping.No holiday now...

Even good news can be reflected as bad news.. Good Numbers can give a spike followed by.. a fall as their might be nothing to sustain it, can be brushed off as a fluke.. Like with the Eur and sentiment where it completely ignored the number.

What I'm saying can be taken with grain of salt.. but just a precaution.. A lot of fundamentals have been ignored by the market.. Some have already been discounted in.. Whatever the case might be.. My advice to anyone reading.. Don't chase the train.

I am well aware of the macro situation surrounding the UK economy, more so than your good self, so I don't really need the links provided relating to quotes by Carney. Bear in mind also that Carney's views are just that: "views" based on internal BOE forecasts (which are often wrong), not factual immovable statements. My point is you were being disingenuous in quoting as fact that there will be no increase to the Bank Rate in the next 1.5-2 years - this we simply cannot say for certain, however high the probability of it being the actual outcome.
