EC Long Trade ended in big profit at 1.2330, short trade from there ended at breakeven. These are the days when the market acts madly.

Instead of being able to enjoy trading both sides trades of the market(long/short), happy to be out in such a day with good profit less risk.


Might find EC 1.2360s, 1.2310 support again when it must had been like that yesterday, what a laughable market!

I start to doubt about an increasing EURCHF-rate, when days with strong EUR-Zone-figures do not positively effect ERUCHF? What do we need more? Do we have to wait til the debt-ceiling-theatre in the US is solved?

Same as you, but for the past few weeks EC is strongly corrolated to UC. More over for EC to go up, we need indices to keep up (no comments) and a stable UJ (still no comments). Still long, buying ALL supports, cashing in at all resistances

Just opened a short position according to my system @ 1.22744
I trade from the technical site, so no fancy reasoning, looked like its heading south.

I still really believe in SNB 1.2000 floor, so my tactic is very simple, keep buying with stops at 1.1970.
Right now i have:
10 lots from 1.2226
10 lots from 1.2265
7 lots from 1.2320
2 lots from 1.2365
10 lots from 1.2373
-------------------------

Yes i risk at this pair lot of money, but on another hand i didnt loose any trade at this pair in last two years,

I have minilots bought downwards from 1.2300 every 20pips, increasing in value towards 1.21 and with more lots below 1.21. I admit I lack discipline and shorted sometimes and lost some money.

I also believe strongly in SNB's floor until they change their vocabulary away from 'utmost'. I'll be long all the way.

I trade similarly but try reducing your exposure.Think in % not in pips.Once you start thinking in terms of % then you can adjust lots in safe sane levels without having to worry about extreme drawdowns.

Following Danthine's comments this morning, I think it's clear to anyone trading this pair that the cap is going to remain in place for the rest of 2014. I'm expecting to see some significant weakness during February as there is no sensible reason (even taking the EM sell off and additional liquidity requirements be Swiss lenders into account) for this pair to trade at 1.222x or below.

Currently long 20 lots, will top up another 20 if markets open below 1.222x

This stupidity is what had talked about at past.

What professional trader opens such lot sizes and at that prices? Answer: none, Amateurs do.

Shameful to see you post here showing proud what you had done, giving an excuse "SNB will defend the peg"
It will defend 1.20 not 1.23

The problem relies in opened 39 lots at different prices and not closing it when price showed going down, which proves that you do not know what you're doing. A pair that had been moving between 1.21-1.24 for a year, 6 months of it was above 1.22 and under 1.24, if you can not know how it moves in a 200 pip range then you must quit trading as all not not only EC.

A professional trader is who opens 39 lot size(in your case) at 1.2350 take profit at right price at the right moment, open same lot at 1.2320 and TP, open at 1.2280 and TP, and so on(if you're just a EC Bull).

The question is not if EC will go back up to 1.2370 and more, but about why wait for comeback when can earn money even in the whole down movement from 1.2370 to 1.2225 that took only 2 days, plus can gain much more in the comeback from down to up there also.

The mastery of trading is knowing when to enter and when to exit the market.

No Trader can be right all the time, but the worst for a professional trader would be the ability to exit a floating loosing order at BE or some gain because the positioning of order by the trader technically helps in that.

Stop trading and start studying trading in general and EC technical in particular.

EC might head to 1.2190, under it will lead to recent low 1.2165-70, under there prepare for 1.2110s.

Up 1.2255 to 1.2280s-00, only above can open to 1.2370s

Stop opening orders stupidly and think.

Significant weakness why?

a possible rate cut in the pipeline by the ECB swissie data getting better i think more likely to se 1.21650

There will not be any rate cut, so... Anyway we will back to 1.23+ teritory, sooner or later... Worst case is price at 1.20 floor couple years

Hi guys,

For me there are 2 supports bellow us:
- 1.217: visited recently as well as in the past
- 1.213: level never broken since the pair can out of the 1.20x area. More over, this is the lower trend line of this 6mth old channel.

I can not short the present levels (my shorts would start at 1.228), but I will buy these 2 supports.
