I didn't really understand today's drive up. I would've been ok with 60-80 pips but 180 on UJ and 160 on EU. Somethings up.

For U/J if going up during Wellington is selling then depends on Tokyo and Nikkei either take it up or the risk-off continue due to bad US data + Friday normally profit takings so probably more down side.

Not so worry for my U/J and other XXX/JPY longs just a matter of scaling in or out of the fresh longs.

2.5 year highs on pound vs 3.5 year lows on Aussie - I haven't looked but GBPAUD must be parabolic

HaHa. Yep. I've looked at it and it couldn't look more vertical without stopping the time scale.
And that's not the best of it. I see more up in cable and more down in Aussie yet to come... after a small pullback of course.

AUD is in its own league shortly after the steep fall in gold prices last year. I can only think of a few reasons for that. One of them is that the big boys are deliberately pushing the currency down so they get far, far ,far more for their money when the rush for gold and other commodities will begin. And when will be that, only they know. US doesn't want to give the gold back, but they will, one day in a near future.
By 2020, Germany wants 50% of its total gold reserves back in Frankfurt – including 300 tons from the Federal Reserve.

RBA said $0.80 is a fair deal for the economy.

Things are not great in the lucky country right now, retail shops in hot spots are closing and there are vacant shops everywhere.
Stevens is working hard to achieve his objective of a cheap currency to support the export market which we are Fkuced without.
The Aussie is a heavily dependant fundamental currency and there is no necessary link with this pair in my own opinion.
