Hmm GU 1H

Long on the breakout, targets as before stop if PA trades below 1.65 in a sustained fashion... Short squeeze break-out I suspect...

So far my hedging strategy has been flat.

But I consider it a success at this point because it gave me peace of mind.

First I lost $3.00 because when I hedged my broker sent me an auto email saying I was in danger of going below 125% of my account balance and getting a margin call. I panicked and closed right away losing a few bucks.

Then yesterday I made about $30.00 after calling my broker and having them explain to me that this is just an auto message and if you're hedged, there is no way to go below and be margin called.

Then last night I hedged again around 61540 right as I went to bed and woke up this morning and was right back there again at 61540 and closed out my hedge. I think I lost about $10.00 there, give or take, hard to tell from my smart phone.

Anyway, I sort of like hedging thus far. I'll keep trying it and seeing how it goes.

To the pattern traders who aren't already passed out from new years eve celebrations, did we just get a 3 white soldiers pattern on the hourly?

We reached 2011 high.As you noticed price dropped to 5275. Goes to show bulls don't have the monopoly on price.
Someone here wrote price has been consolidating for 4 yrs for this break out.I disagree its still within range not until 6730 taken out
Simple fact is Cable can't run away by itself without having Euro tagging along. GB biggest trading partner is Euro zone hence balance is essential.
So far ironically Euro is dropping.That should give you a clue.

We had 2 very nice green numbers today on US but both ignored by the market.On normal trading days this would of had effect but today last day of 2014 MM are just going for your stops.

As to the rate increase.

I know that Carney has said QE is pretty much done (And it's been done awhile) but what talk is there of a rate increase?

Yes it has a potential to drop to 1.55 as well. US economy is showing signs of better days to come.
