I'm sure you're right, but wouldn't you rather be in an Amsterdam coffee shop costing you about €10 instead of in a Malaysian court back office forking out RM20,000 (approx €5000)?

These levels are important to watch for reaction for a potential trade, but also because their failure is often a signal as well.

I think fundamentals with catch up with the euro. It's still growing less than the US. Higher is possible, but momentum is waning. Correction will be deep.

EU - Monthly is still Long.............

Weekly is going to retest the last high in October - nearing a top, but not yet...........

Daily is long and ADX is showing Strong Long at the moment........

H4 Is topping - Bollinger band squeeze is about to take place .

Small retrace and continue long is in the picture for now.............

Thanks for your update Alien.
Technically after a small pullback, the Euro has potential to revisit the October 2011 highs.
However, the fundamental outlook is in extreme disagreement with that projection.
That's what makes this pair so frustrating.

Fundamentally to me Euro is overvalued and I see 1.33 and lower.
I am short from 3605 2x

Its already known that Draghi wants Euro lower if any chance of recovery and this alone is enough "signal" to short much like Aussie recent drop.

I don't think NFP will have it's usual affect, as I believe Draghi on Thursday is going to really shake things up. The only way I see NFP shaking things up would be huge upside numbers. Would not be surprised to see 1.3250 by the end of the week, but what do I know ? I am short and not adding unless we hit 1.3700. I will scale into more shorts on the way down if we start to head south. We shall see.

considering this is the most important NFP in the last 5 year, I somewhat disagree. This NFP basically decides if we have tapering in December, or March. Which then decides the steepness of the tightening cycle.

We saw the Aug print at 169k which put of the Sep Taper, and now we need to see strong Nov NFP (and revisions) to see a Dec Taper.

Going to be a highly watched number, draghi may not be as important as he's unlikely to do anything the month after a rate cut.
