I only use mt4 for charting and its pretty important imo to have a 5 day week chart with the daily candles closing at new york close, 4 hour candles and dailys can appear completely different giving you false signals, I use axi trader demo for charting

With all due, its my experience that if you try to catch a falling knife you cut your fingers. You preach fundamentals then you say the above quoted. You seem to me to be more of an investor than a trader. We're here for the quicker moves and news threatening a negative deposit rate is good enough to move the market (clearly).

I appreciate we all use our own edge but I am a technical analyst and I'm still here.

I'll appreciate if you don't chirp on my backswing and I won't chirp on yours, its disrespectful.

Share your trading views please just remain calm on counter calls especially in the light of the 100 pip move I scalped. It has a way to go, I just have what I want.

This is only a buying opportunity till support is found, confirmation candles are in place etc. Countering a huge obvious news trend is just irresponsible in a public forum like this where others could suffer serious financial harm if you do not quantify your view, timeframe etc.

Be cautious with your knowledge, we All only get it right some of the time... There is no holy grail, just an edge, discipline, risk control and money management.

the problem with your advice is it's not technically framed. I ignored everything you've been saying (despite enjoying the debates and making research notes) and sold off on EU. Your advice may be right, but i can enter the market like this and still be right too. I did all this before and despite any news. The market moves how it moves and cannot go in straight lines. We have to go up to go down, and vice versa. We have to observe pit stops along the way or we stall. Technical analysis can allow long and short to be correct.

Eish yo,

Your candles will reflect the time frame of your broker. So if one is US and the other is Europe / UK then the candles do indeed look different.

This is what my experience has told me:-

1) market is there to confuse
2) u will work to get your pips
3) the market can always go north or south equally, its never a sure thing
this is the most impt..as u develop as a trader u will see formations and patterns naturally and u will play them out in yur head b4 they materialise, screen time will build this catalogue of patterns and only success will build confidence..eventually this catalogue will be so huge..u will know which setups to take and execute..u will only ever find the strength and conviction to stay in yur trades because off yur previous success..

Howzit GU

GU Daily

The chart speaks for itself, I hope. Doji, hammer and sort of shooting star. Range bound stuck in range and moving down for now.
DXY is currently breaking out to the upside of a falling wedge I have a target at 81.56.

Implications for GU would be weakening.

News tomorrow will focus mostly on USD, tactical chart attached with multiple possibilities.

I'm off to bed...
