Cable never gives up, already climbing back up. Should start taking my profit quickly every time on this pair. It just goes higher and higher.

hey you ... do you realize every time you say why so much manipulation what you mean is "if the trade doesn't go my way then it must be a manipulation as i am always right and have got it figured out" so essentially what u are saying is i am right and market is stupid...

here invest some time and read this.. came out late last night.. and if u were not aware enought to have read it by now then u dont know that sentiments have changed and expectations have changed.. ccy markets are forward looking and current spot price is reflection of what might happen 2-6 months from now

I really do not know why you even bother to write this stupid statement of yours. Of course it is manipulation when GBP and EUR reported worse and worse data - are you telling me that when an economy is at recess this is positive for a currency - is there anyone who can be positive when something like this is occurring...

About the excuse, I did not know when asking a question this means you are excusing for anything - I seek no excuse, maybe you are, or you got things wrong, why did you write this at all, I asked a question and searched for an answer not someone like you preaching.

for sure being manipulated higher, I think it's because overwhelming majority are bearish on GU. Might still need to go higher to get those bears to give up. It's incredible watching GU rise every time it comes down. Looks like the US stock market lately, which is also clearly completely manipulated.

again though u dont want me to answer but might help stimulate your thinking.. what took gbp down to 1.58 from 1.62 was ecb rate cut and great non farm which led to pricing in of taper... it wasnt bad data.. so if u read the link i attached for your benefit, not for my offense march, u would understand that taper pricing in is coming off... it was priced in too early and too much.. and if u read BoE statement and have a look at their chartpack u will realize they have brought forward their interest rate forecast.. first central bank to do so!!

its always about whats priced in and everything is relative not absolute

Euro
have a look at US and European equities year to date... US is up 24% and European 10-12%.. so if u are big asset manager you at this time of the year is planning what you will do next year and you see euro equities undervalued and US overvalued hence u sell dollars and buy euros to buy euro equities.. same story for real estate etc...

also liquidity surplus is drying up in euro and deleveraging is happening which increases euro demand!!


all this is greek to you and you dont want to invest time in understanding and forward think about the motivation and plans of the participalnts thus u call it manipulation..

You guys will be telling us that Kennedy wasn't killed by Oswald next (!) ...whatever the case issue the markets/this instrument - (and I doubt there is wholesale 'manipulation' as you imagine it to be.) ...the playing field is what it is and at our level of trading volume it doesn't really matter what it is - just accept it for what it is or move on to another and gain an edge - it's that simple. Also, at the risk of offence - ravenbg - you are being naive about the fundamental environment and individual data effects. I'm not saying the guys above are in this position, but as someone else has alluded to - there is a high positive correlation between those crying foul and those who are losing/in a losing position that is hurting them.

Think about that last Uk data - price went down on it's release and found support at a previous resistance zone - this in the context of yesterday's big daily bullish engulf candle...did you really think there wouldn't be more buyers after that candle - however strong or not they turn out to be .
