The truth is 1.6026 is an important level and was completely rejected. This can now move up to 1.6300 from here... obviously 1.6026 goes game on again for the bears

{quote} I was actually referring to both the Dow Jones and S&P 500. For cable, yes, I think we have topped for now. I agree with your demand level which I have at around the same level. All that is super clear to me now is that September's wonderful Bull run is over, and now it's in range mode which suits me just fine.

Ahh yes SPX and DJ. Of course it's all clear blue sky. It's uncharted territory

immediate near-term potential upside upside obstacles - up to the bottom of that previous 6114-6256 4hr range that was broken to downside and held after a test from the underside on a pullback forcing price lower to yesterday's 6021 lo. Intraday sentiment bullish so far.

with all this consensus what fed's fomc will do/likely say later today - if they spring a surprise even in the language/implicity in the language - it could trigger a move other than the volatility it will likely trigger anyway, particularly in the unlikely event they begin tapering or only slightly more likely event (but still unlikely) that they will announce when they will begin tapering - at this meeting end. The language will be scrutinised !

As I've been speculating (and posting) for the last few days, Uber USD bears are covering. Perhaps as I have been speculating, it is due to the FOMC risk event. However, one thing I didn't think of till now is that it may not have anything to do with FOMC, but rather just normal month end flows, re-positioning and re-hedging. That makes more sense. Regardless, looks like the USD is the beneficiary of such flows... at least for now anyway.

Your not thinking 4th dimensionally. Those are 3 dimensional answers to a 4 dimensional question. Normal flows? Yes, I'll give you that one.
